Not a great debut for Ferguson yesterday, but the team never gave up. Can't believe how good Matt Kemp has been. Glad to see Pederson and Bellinger regain getting more hits and HR's. 38/54 innings pitched by the bullpen this road trip and we go 5-1!
Terrible coaching by Roberts the last couple games. I know Ferguson was getting knocked around, but so what? The bullpen is toasted now. This is how you hurt guys and goodness knows we can't afford any more of that... I don't know how many of these minors we can call up to burn!
Roberts had been horrid this year. Baez gets sent packing and now he keeps putting in brock Stewart who sucks a**. Almost cost the Dodgers again today and had to use Kenley for 2 innings. Just terrible managing this year.
Yeah, I'm not a fan either re: his overuse of the bullpen, but they're rotating relief pitchers between OKC and LA. Baez was dropped yesterday and came back to play today. Let's hope Wood, Stripling, and Buehler can go deep into games vs the Braves so give the bullpen some rest. I think putting in Daniel Hudson is worse, he's worse than Stewart. Don't know how Hudson is still in the majors.
I've been on the road so I missed the game, but holy crap I heard we set the Mets park record for homers!
Apparently, the Dodgers are the only team with 3 5+ homer games at Citi Field. Not even the Mets have that many in their own ballpark.
LeBron signs with the Lakers and the Dodgers magically have one of the best nights in franchise history? Coincidence? I think not!
There's a lot of talk that a Machado deal is already agreed upon for the Dodgers. Most have it centered around star OF prospect Yusniel Diaz, likely with Forsythe going out as well. Forsythe has been awful for us and just never really worked out as a Dodger. Machado makes us one hell of a lineup. I'd also like to say I appreciate more what the FO has done here the last two years if they make this move. I was upset they refused to pay for people this summer, even though I get it. Hopefully this Machado deal works out the way we want it to. It's clearly a rental though as he's been adamant that he wants to play SS and we've currently got Seager there. Unless we can somehow move Seager to 2nd, I don't see this as a long-term marriage. Still, a lineup of: LF- Kemp (All-Star) CF- Bellinger (Young stud) RF- Puig/Pederson (Good at-bats with power) 3B- Turner (Great at-bats) SS- Machado (All-Star) 2B- Taylor (Struggling, but can get hot) 1B- Muncy (Great at-bats with terrific power) C- Grandal (Good power) With Kike, Toles, Pederson off the bench. My goodness.
Yeah, that's a World Series worthy lineup. I move Seager to 2nd without hesitation. He's young and fully capable.
