I've heard that before. Interesting what we decide to do with Turner at that point. A winter of Harper and Arenado in and Puig and Turner out would be interesting.
Good to see them take the series vs. the Nationals. Nice to see Kenley bounce back a bit. Our pending free agents (Grandal and Ryu) have been incredible; I hope that they can keep up the good work. Today will be an interesting game; we'll finally see Walker Buehler start for the first time this season. He's our most likely player to become this season's Seager or Bellinger.
What was his regular top velocity before he had the tendon surgery and do you know around where he's come back to in the mph?
Just checked paper Times again today and it says he had elbow ligament replacement surgery some time after being drafted in 2015.
Oh sorry about that LT, thought you were talking about Jansen! Buehler doesn't have issues with mph, he can throw 96-97mph effortlessly.
So how does Buehler not get the win? He goes 5 innings and gives up no runs and only 4 hits with 5 Ks and we are leading 1-0 after the bottom of the 4th and we won 2-1. Don't you only have to go 5 innings? https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/miami-marlins-los-angeles-dodgers-380423119/ images Walker Buehler
He got a no decision because Chargois blew the game and they tied it 1-1 for half an inning. Buehler looked very good. He's got some tremendous stuff. He was hitting 98-99 pretty regularly and where he wanted it most of the time.
Looking at his motion, he's going to have elbow pain for a while. He really whips it. I'm hoping he can stay healthy and viable long-term. His stuff is just flat out impressive though. As long as he can keep getting new UCLs, he should be good.
Crazily enough, his fastball got even faster after the TJ surgery. https://www.minorleagueball.com/201...lker-buehler-hits-100-mph-in-big-league-debut
oh dear..... Bullpen is terrible at the moment...hope Turner or some rookie can come back to give them a boost.
This is just embarrassing. They need to figure their s*** out. I knew this wouldn't be nearly as great a season as last season, but so far it's been wildly disappointing.
At what point is Dave Roberts going to take Pedro Baez and shotgun his a** to the next dimension? Jesus f***ing Christ. Pedro Baez f***ing sucks!!! Stop using him!!!!!!!!!!
Baez must have some crazy intel on Roberts and the Dodgers for them to keep him. This Daniel Hudson is just awful as well. This is the price of being too cheap and not re-signing Morrow and Tony Watson. I think they might have to put Maeda as the set-up man and let Buehler start consistently at some point. At least we know what the weakness of the team is.
Looks like this season will be a wash. Seager should've gotten the surgery earlier to prevent it from getting worse last offseason.
Completely idiotic and irresponsible of the team not to force this issue during the off-season. F***ing ridiculous. This season is a disaster already.
