Only two games we have to endure during this lackluster ending to the season.

Kept it close...kept fighting back...in the end, just not enough talent.

Quite a fun game tonight actually. Easy to get caught up in the emotion and storyline of Andre Ingram. Biggest game of his life and he delivered! MVP chants for him were so cool. Josh Hart coming through with so much heart as usual. Randle found his offensive rhythm tonight as well. Didn't win but we competed down to the buzzer. I like our team a lot. I can't stand the Sprockets.

Great way to finish the season with a win over the Paper Clips. I was really hoping for this one! 35 wins is quite an improvement over last year. We would have been close to 40 if we had better health down the stretch. Pretty darned good ending overall. I'm pleased!

Thank you to everyone who made this forum great for 82 games straight. Through ups and downs, got much love for this site! Now the second part of the season starts, THE OFF SEASON which equals to FREE AGENCY, DRAFT, INDIVIDUAL PLAYER IMPROVEMENTS VIA INSTAGRAM lol. I'm proud of the wins we've accomplished this year, if healthy we'd be in the hunt for the playoffs, here's hoping for a much better and healthier season next season!

Never knew that, began watching wrestling again last year because the Lakers are not good. She's great, an ex Laker girl that's why, too bad they got rid of her stooge Ellsworth

Although we only won 35 games, I enjoyed watching this team compete. Great things are on the horizon. I can see titles #17 and beyond in the not too distant future.
And another thing: this site kicks azz :Kobefistbump:

Yeah winning 35 games with not everything going right is encouraging .

If I had to remember only one thing in this season , it would be our defensive improvement . We ended up 12th in defensive efficiency

35 was a common number picked around here by many so well done to the forum if you ask me. I consider it a "B" for the coaching staff, above average in that we did it with a lot of unpredictable injuries from a our core youth:

    Lonzo -30 games
    BI -23 games
    Hart -19 games

Being the key absences, not to mention some other missed games by players and trading 2 of our 2nd tier key youths for cap positioning.

I also believe our coach staff did a good job in developing our youth. A lot of lineup experiments that failed but I appreciate Luke really exploring what we have. Now is the time for that because the next few years are going to be much less forgiving in terms of expectations in the wins box. If we open next season screwing around with line ups, it better be because we are seeing who jives with PG and LBJ best.

And now it's time for the Magic and Rob show.

Most fun I’ve had watching a non playoff season since ‘97(?). Barring injuries, and even without any splashy signings I honestly think this group can challenge for a playoff spot next season. I’m sure KCP will be gone but I’ve a feeling Brook may resign on a cheaper deal, and I’m really hoping Randle stays a Laker. I have confidence that group can get it done next season. With PG and Lebron I think we can be a top 3 team in the West next season. But we’ll see. Looking forward with great interest to see how Zo, Kuz, Hart and Ingram can improve their games over the offseason. So I’ll be looking forward to summer league to see if they can defend their title. I think with how good they’ve played this season they should really dominate this summer. Over all though a satisfying season to watch.

This season was the turning point in our rebuild, you could really see things progressing up for the first time in years. Despite injuries to key players and some tough stretches, we finished with 35 wins, 9 game improvement.

The vets we signed, (Lopez, "KCP", Bogut, Brewer, Frye), were all solid additions. The young core of Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Randle, Hart looks as promising as ever. Even the third stringers we gave a chance to had nice stretches, (Caruso, Wear, GP2, Zubac, TB, AI). Special shoutout to Deng and IT. And let's not forgot JC and Nance who were solid early while our younger guys were trying to figure things out. Bigger shoutout to Luke and his coaching staff on getting this group playing the best defense we've seen in a long time, finishing 12th.

Time for Rob and Magic to do work. This offseason could be huge for us, it could finally bring us back out ignore the dumps and back to where we belong.

I'm back baby! My self imposed exile is complete with the season under wraps and I'll close the book on last year with some quick thoughts:

    1) I echo the thanks for this forum. Whether we're arguing or laughing at jokes, it's amazing to be able to share the Lakers with such a good group of fans. We bring knowledge and passion to each season and I appreciate all of you for that.

    2) What a f***ing great draft we had. Genuinely our scouting department has transformed the team with this last draft. I (and many others) said it early in this season but Hart, Ball, and Kuzma have changed the way we're going to approach this summer and maybe the next few summers. I'm not saying we won't swing for the fences (if anything, the urgency has probably increased so we can take advantage of this window), but what I'm saying is we will avoid the purgatory of the constant lottery teams. We will avoid Orlando and Phoenix and Sacramento and we will leapfrog Detroit and Charlotte and any of those middling teams as well. We will be competitive again with the right moves and that's not always a given for teams that end up in the lottery. This draft just blows me away and we've really just scratched the surface with Thomas Bryant.

    3) I can't wait for this summer to find out whether our hard work has paid off. I'm... Optimistic.

Kinda hoping they don't play in summer league. Nothing to prove there and the chance of injury as always. Maybe just me. Yeah they should dominate if they do.
