    What?

Rebels was very risk averse for the most part. i don't see that mind blowing SW innovation.

They took more risks in Clone Wars and Rebels than they have in any other Star Wars canon medium. Space whales, portals, world between worlds, Force wolves, holicrons. Should I go on?

If we are talking about just canon that is very small sample size.

In relation to the old EU perhaps, but the new canon is growing in leaps and bounds.

Doesn't really matter though. Your initial point was that the show was risk averse and that's just patently false. Time travel, interdimensional movement, Force "magic", Force animals. These are all risks taken within the context of Star Wars. They have existed in old books, but the vast majority of Star Wars fans would be unaware of these things. This is done on a grander stage with millions of eyes watching.

First, that epilogue was epic. The story of the OT told through Sabine. Ashoka showing up all wise looking. Kanan’s son. Regarding your points

    1. and 4. I was happy with this choice. I think they telegraphed it honestly, when they told us Thrawn survives Rebels. So I’m guessing Thrawn. will have stories told between 6 and 7 now, or he could even pop up in a movie. If he’s in the unknown regions he could come back at any time. Ezra is less clear, would love to see the story of Sabine and Ashoka going after Ezra, but now I’m curious if that opens the door for Ezra to return in the episode 9 time period (same for Thrawn), perhaps to even help Rey, or if he’d be gone by then. A lot of possibilities were opened up here.

2.I’m pretty sure this episode takes place shortly before Rogue One. The Ghost and Hera are at the battle of Scarif. Also, I liked the little touch of giving Rex the helmet that the guy he supposedly is in RoTJ now is wearing. It’s a really small thing, but he does look like that guy, so it’s a cool little touch to have one of the last clones fighting in the last battle under the Emperor.

3.I’m so glad Ashoka lived. There are so many stories that can be told with her. Like you said, she’s not a Jedi, so they always have that loophole. Luke was not her mission, she may not have even known about him, or where Yoda and Obi-Wan went. She didn’t even know Vader was Anakin until they fought.

My only problem with Ahsoka is that she was HEAVILY involved with Hera and the fledgling Rebels. Why wouldn't she be part of the Rebellion? And if she was, why didn't she help with Luke?

I guess we will probably find out in time. That’s a big story point to go with and not have a plan.

They waited 4 seasons. I don't see why video games should not count. Millions play them. Kotor and SWTOR took more risks. SW video games are probably just as a grand stage as Rebels.

No they're not and no they didn't. Rebels went to the Jedi base and experienced vivid Force visions in Season 2, one in which Ezra meets Yoda, and is given a kyber crystal in the world between worlds.

    You're wrong.

Interesting news, good choice, but I’m still not subscribing to a Disney streaming service. Greedy b*******. Not bad enough they charge $25-$30 for all their animated and Marvel Blu-rays and the prices NEVER go down.

Anyway, Captain Phasma deleted scene released today. I’m conflicted on it. Dialogue is clunky, but there’s aspects I definitely like. I think with some tweaks it could have been better than the scene we did get

Favreau for a live action series is a great deal for them. He's a good storyteller.

I'll be getting their streaming service. By the way, get digital copies of the movies! They're 20 bucks usually. Not so bad.

I can't help but sign up for a service that's going to include Marvel and Star Wars properties... Two things I spent/spend way too much time with my entire life.

I am sorry but SWTOR with it's 200 mil investment is a grand stage.

For like one or two episodes.

    Who said it wasn't?

Each episode of Rebels got generally two million viewers.

KotoR sold something like two million copies in 5 years.

Tell me again which stage is grander?

You get Rebels by having Disney XD, or a streamer provides it. To buy Kotor you had to go out of your way to buy it. Grand friggin stage.

The words Grand and Niche aren't actually interchangeable in the English language.

This is a bad argument. From your own point, people had to go buy the game. Less people bought the game than watch the show. The show has a far grander stage.

You're still wrong. This show is far more important than that game was, even if you (like myself), loved that game.
