Altered carbon is really good. Reminds me of blade runner with a better pace and writing. I’ve ony gotten through like 3 episodes, but I can already tell it’s goimg to be great all the way through.
I finished Ozark the other night. Really enjoyed it for how tense it could get and yet the main character - Jason Bateman would always have some witty or clever thing to say to lighten the mood or make it not as bad. Also, haven't been a fan of most of the stuff Jason Bateman has done, but this role and his ability to do this darker kind of show/character was great
hes the man. from arrested development to roles like this I think hes great. cant wait for season 2 of Ozarks and for the next arrested to come out
Also - for anyone who liked altered carbon or other sci fi shows - check out Travelers on Netflix. 2 seasons out right now
I was going to download (from Netflix legally) Altered Carbon to watch on the plane (I watched the first two episodes the weekend it came out), but thought better of it since a kid could have been sat behind me. Instead watched all of Ozark (to Honolulu and back). It seems like people are a little split on Ozark from reading around the web. I loved it.
I don't now how anyone can be split on Ozark. I thought the writing and acting was fantastic and its not even a typical genre I like.
Can anyone give me a brief idea of what Ill be getting into when I start Black Mirror? Everyone is talking about it, yet I know nothing about it.
Also, first 2 seasons are British, last 2 are American. I like the show either way, but I prefer the British actors and settings. The Entire History of You is probably my favorite, and I also love Fifteen Million Merits. Some things don’t translate as well here from other countries, I dunno, like Broadchurch is way better than Gracepoint, Les Revenants is way better than The Returned.
Get ready to think too. It really f***s with you mind a bit. They create scenarios that are believable (with slightly advanced technology in some cases) and what it would mean to our society.
