Dodgers brought back Utley. I have no excitement for that move at all. The guy looked cooked at the end of last season. Matt Kemp is in camp... Hooray. Yu Darvish is in Chicago... I'm pretty sure we'll win the division again, but I don't believe we'll have the same success we had last season.
So after taking some responsibility after the WS loss, he says THAT after being let go? How about just shutting the hell up?
Yeah I saw that! He also had a single I think. I mean... they said he lost 50 pounds or something. If he can still swing the bat, he actually will be useful. Just about the craziest development we could imagine! Font looked solid. Venditte got himself into and out of trouble. Solid first outing.
It's despised around here "Bleeding Heart Plaschke" or worse titled .... and some unnecessary cracks at the Lakers .... but still a poignant article and just reminds us of our outrage at no TV for the 5th straight year. Rough start, but not the end of the world. Honestly this is a punt season for the Dodgers (refused to spend money to save for next winter), so I won't get too worked up on anything. They'll probably win the division and lose in the Playoffs again. Kemp is playing pretty well. Their pitching staff looks okay (besides Kershaw who has been incredible). I'm hearing they're trying to move Thompson's kid out to somewhere where he'll play more. None of the young kids have been very exciting though which is disappointing.
Kenley has more blown saves (2) in 2018 than in 2017 (1). Did the Astros break him? or is he hiding an injury?
I'm inclined to think it's an injury given his velocity troubles, but I don't know what the f*** his deal is. Alexander has been a disappointment too. At least Kemp has been tremendous!... and boy we better get some FAs this winter after slogging through this s***.
I'd read some Reds fans thought he'd be their future closer. The kid throws heat, but apparently doesn't have much control at all.
Hope so as well, but I have a feeling 2019 might be the impact year. I think we have a very strong chance with Nolan Arenado (hometown guy like PG and Kawhi).
