    I saw something totally different.

He held his own a few times, but most of the time was getting blown by

Maybe on the pick and rolls. But on man, I thought he was okay.

KCP in ball is flat out atrocious for a guy known for his “defense”. He’s the laziest player I’ve ever seen.

Also, Lopez camping outside all 1st until he scored like 8 points in a row in the paint, like DUH, you’re the biggest guy on the court and you’re shooting 3’s.

    :Nope:

Also going away from BI running the offense in the 4th hurt us.

    My WMCs
    - Continuous no calls on JR despite being beat down in the paint, with the end of that OKC game as a classic example
    - 15/22 FTs, very important to hit these in close games (JR, KCP, and Kuz with 2 misses each)
    - Not enough H(e)art

That would be a W with Jordan and Nance. We need a completly different "defensive philosophy" with IT on the court.

Bad loss , we were not interested in playing defense from the start of the game .

Progress isn't linear and we're going to "witness" more bad losses like this one or the Orlando one until the end of the season .

Actually it was worse with him off Barns.

Not saying IT was a good defender, but the whole team decided not to play defense tonight. Rotation after rotation was just lazily missed. No communication, no help, and then Dallas starts knocking down shots they don't usually make and the whole thing unravels. Luke's look at the end was perfect. The guys just didn't want to play defense tonight.

Then I’m wrong there, but I was watching him the whole time on the court.

So many lazy attempts to fight through screens, and slow reactions.

It was an off night for the Lakers defense, but I fear this will be a normal night for IT defense.

it probably will. we have to hope he can be as good as clarkson, which has been true in the past.

that won't solve the issue we have by letting nance go, though. really wish we could have done that trade but kept nance and cleveland kept their pick.

I mean in IT's defense (no pun intended), he's much better than Clarkson, but yes the defense is going to have to adjust to him on the floor.

The easiest way to do it: be WAY more aggressive offensively. If IT gets beat (which he will) grab the rebound and push immediately. IT should be near the half-court line with the ball by the time his defender is able to recover.

The harder way: rotate more effectively. The guys yesterday were helping so stupidly and ended up not helping IT enough AND giving up offensive boards because they're floating around waiting for nothing to happen.

Just didn't look in it defensively. Another winnable game slipped away.

IT was an MVP candidate just 8 months ago! He's done more in this league than Clarkson can dream of right now. :D

Today JC might be better, but it's close and it's only because IT is getting back from injury.

The team decided not to play defense. Not pinning it on Thomas. And hart needed to play more. One thing we will miss is nances energy. Gonna need someone to be that spark.

I’m just taking about his defense. Even as an MVP candidate, I doubt he’s ever been as good as Clarkson defensively

Well Clarkson was never a great defender but I can't disagree.
