Thank you Mr. Bucher. At least someone will call him out.

He trashes the Lakers all year, recruits for 1 week in the offseason and then trashes them for another season, all while excluding his friend Byron.

Meh. Some things I disagree with Magic on and some things I think he is on spot on about. I would prefer he kept some things in house but his statements haven't bothered me as much as others.

But i must say that I can also understand his support of Byron while ripping Pringles. And I think it goes beyond their friendship.

I think people don't factor in just how much more talent Pringles had to work with, at least initially. D'Antoni had Kobe, Dwight, and Gasol and managed to run Kobe in the ground, alienate Gasol and made the brilliant move of trying to run the team through Nash instead of Dwight. I could go on but we all lived through that nightmare. Bringing him in over Phil really was one of the worst decisions in franchise history.

Byron clearly doesn't have much to work with out there. I also think Magic has finally, like most of us, embraced that the franchise just isnt good right now and its going to take time to get it back where it needs to be. So yeah, I understand why he is giving Byron some room. At least for now.

And you think Byron would have done more with that roster with Kobe, Dwight, and Pau? I don't think so...

Actually yes. But I must say I think D'Antoni is one of the most overrated coaches of all time especially given the amount of talented players he coached.

I usually see things eye to eye with you. What's your problem? :) LOL! Elgin, I respectfully disagree. Remember, the Golden State game with Pau, Dwight, Kobe, Nash; MDA started utilziing the HORNS concept; Byron doesn't know what HORNS is or does...Kobe did tell him to slow it down in the 2nd half of the season; ultimately, fans didn't like MDA, and he was too rigid about running his system.. I could break down and send you footage of stuff MDA and Byron; apples to oranges. Byron hasn't conformed to modern basketball principles, and I don't even like MDA.

LOL. It's all good man. We're still on the same side.

My honest thought on Byron is that he is going to end up being the coach before the coach that gets us back to the promised land. I think he really is just meant as a guy to help bring back some of the old Laker sentiment while we rebuild the talent on the team.

I tried but I just didn't like MDA. At all. LOL
