Love me some Donald, but he definitely needs some PR person on his twitter account... I'm not scared that it'll start a nuculear war, I'm more worried about the people that explode over it, and might create some panic... Def should put a lid on that big talk on twitter, save it for the meetings.

    Haitians! Africans! Oh my!

I don't think he understands that well-educated immigrants from 1st world nations often don't immigrate from those nations. Well-educated immigrants from 3rd world countries are the ones who are more motivated to move out and take jobs here.

Well those comments are alleged, they’re not fact. I’m not going to believe some democracts that hate trump, even though it’s completely possible he made such comments.

If he said those things, not cool man. He has to realize when he’s behind closed doors with democracts, he has to watch out what he says cause they hate him, and will use anything to make him look bad and they will leak out to the media. But then you have GOP people saying they didn’t hear those comments. So two conflicting statements, a party that hates trump, the other who are on his side.

The coverage and the reaction to this story is probably why he’ll win again when his term is up.

There is a transcript confirmed by a conservative rep as well.

    Look it up.

Okay, a conservative rep... is he hated by this person? I’m not denying he said these comments, I just have trouble believing these politicians anymore cause it’s all just anti-trump stuff..

I know the man does some stuff that just makes you scratch your head, but the level of outcry to the things he does is just baffling

First I’d blame the media that is obviously anti-trump... they’re coming off as crybabies and people, including myself, are beginning to hate that. The man isn’t freaking mother Theresa, everyone knows that. Pick policies that you specifically don’t agree with, why? How does it negatively affect our country? Stuff like that... a perfect example is to go look at headlines from cnn, and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Second is the economy. It appears to be responding well to his presidency. I can’t give out specifics cause I don’t know a whole lot about it. But it seems to be a common theme around all the news outlets that the economy is improving.

Third is probably his tax plan... that’s a tba thing. But might be the best thing to happen to middle income families

Would you say the economy was improving before trump took office? Besides, he's decreasing corporate taxes at, frankly, dangerous levels, and making a comparatively small change to middle income families, while increasing the already grossly bloated military budget. You ever think...no obviously not. Suffice to say, something's gonna give. All I'm gonna say is we here in California are getting screwed.

The corporate tax rate in Canada is 15%. LINK

Trump and GOP changed ours from 35% to 21%. LINK

Corporations were moving from the USA to Canada to avoid the tax rate. LINK

Now less of them will consider doing so.

So ask yourself, what's more dangerous? Less revenue from a lower corporate tax or corporations leaving the country?

It literally makes almost no difference. Corporations still leave in droves because any savings they make from tax cuts and the like, mostly goes into the pockets of the CEOs and shareholders, not towards employing US citizens.

They still move out to other countries because they can employ workers in India, Mexico, etc for next to nothing.

It's dangerous because it's a massive change in income to the government without decreasing spending especially since he's actually increasing spending on military. You guys are quite fond of pointing out Obama ran a deficit each year in office, but trump just outdid that his first year. And you're applauding him.

You're talking about the factories. Corporate headquarters aren't moving to Beijing or New Delhi anytime soon.

It's either lower the corporate tax rate or watch corporations move their headquarters to Canada. Take your pick. It's not that hard for a corporation located in New York or Chicago to move to Toronto.

I'm not applauding Trump. Neither he nor Obama are fiscal conservatives.

    Also to these links.
Income earned outside Canada is not eligible for the federal tax abatement. To say the tax rate is 15% is disingenuous. Their base rate is 38%. Ours is now 21%. Not counting any incentives. According to the CBO, Canada was about 26%, US was 39%. Average tax was closer.
    https://taxfoundation.org/cbo-report-compares-us-corporate-tax-g20/
Numbers from 2012, so do keep that in mind.

    Another thing to note: https://www.npr.org/2017/08/07/5417...e-the-highest-corporate-tax-rate-in-the-world
This references the cbo as well. Note the relatively small percentage of corporate income that comes from corporate tax code. This also makes the same statement about effective tax rates.

some companies, but would you agree the lower tax at least gives businesses here more breathing than before? perhaps more incentives to stay?
