Yeah, I just can't feel optimistic at this point; no way. We looked horrible. Just absolutely flat out terrible. Good job, Luke. Very good job, players. We had 3 people in the Game Time Thread yesterday; at one point, there was just 1 person in there which was me, I think. Nobody is interested; this steam stinks, we have no pick, we're not very healthy, our defense is regressing, etc.

    It's just sad...

We have Lonzo. Kuz is fine. As long as we don’t trade either I’m fine.

That's about all we have presently. Ingram has been playing hurt, but I'm listening to offers for him. This team sucks, and we both know that.

It's crazy. My interest in Star Wars and the Lakers is vanishing right before my eyes at the same time. Two of the pillars of my entertainment life are crumbling.

Depressing... They looked outclassed and worse disinterested. After keeping up in the first quarter, the bottom fell out, confidence lost.

2018 cap space has sucked this season. He needs to be benched.

Which one, Doc? KCP? Or Slowpez? They have both been supremely underwhelming.

Unfortunately, it's back to the drawing board. We have to kind of reset at this point. Get Lonzo back, try to get some more consistent play, figure out who actually belongs in the starting lineup and is effective. We are starting our longest home stand. We need to start over and just focus on getting wins or at least giving 100% effort and not getting embarrassed out there. It's pretty shocking to me that we would lay this big of an egg after battling hard in Houston and Minny. These guys just need to get back to what was working early in the season, especially defensively.

"Focus on the wins" "start over" blah blah blah blah. It's like listening to Jeanie and Magic talk. Same toilet water just a different house.

This team sucks. Their players suck as a collective. Their coaches suck. Scouting department is pretty much all that has shown any skill. Players are softer than my bathroom tissue paper.

As far as I'm concerned, no one is untouchable and if you can get a couple all stars in their prime for these asshats, I would.

I'm all but done. 4+ years, 365 games of pure s***. I watched them all so I didn't sell out like all the other dip**** from bandwagon teams. I watched recorded games I knew were blow outs. I watched them all. For what? So I can watch guys quit? Young players quit now? If they were veterans I could sorta understand. But rookies and 2nd year guys, AT HOME! Guys getting a little scratch and being out for 2 weeks? Missing Christmas games? 19 and 20 year olds? f*** this and f*** these players.

Watching the end of that game last night thinking this is the worst it can get even though I know this isn't true, but it felt like we went back to square one.

I mean when you have the other team's rookie basically doing a dunk contest exhibition on your home court you know your team is in a awful spot.

Oh I'm still very interested and vested in this team. Watched last night all the way till the buzzer sounded. It sucks, but I also know better than to come in this forum during or right after a game like that for both my mental well being and sanity. Haha

Tell us how you really feel Ox! I get it, it sucks. I've been a Lakers fan since Kareem came here in '76 or so though I really wasn't actively watching games until 79/80. Agreed that there are no excuses for last night's debacle. But they need to take that beat down and come back tougher for it. Put their hard hats on again and get back to the grind. Ultimately it's one game. Get back to work, there's still almost 2/3 of a season to play. Winning makes things better, and even though the W's will be hard to get, we need to get back to it. Charlotte comes to town Friday, Lonzo should be back, that's a winnable game, let's get it.

Boy am I glad I checked out of this game at half time. We suck, and the team looks like they've checked out of defense. At least we have our offense to fall back on.... wait, what? We hardly practice offense? Our system is 85% dependent on a 20 year old rookie that still needs to mature his body? Huh.... welp where to now.

This is the reason I've been so upset and why so many fans have left.

    • Julius. This is what I've been talking about: poor effort on that end of the floor. Where before he was switching effectively and defending the rim, he's been atrocious and it looked worse than I've seen all year against OKC. He wasn't contesting shots. He wasn't physical on switches. He gave up basket after basket.
    • Ingram. I think a lot of this is inexperience, but I've been harping on his help defense all season long. He's too slow to react and too slow to make the right play defensively on the weak side. You shouldn't have to watch film that much to make the right reads, especially something easy like tagging the roll man.
    • Kuzma. Again, been saying it all year his defense is garbage. He has really poor technique and some of that is likely due to his physical limitations (strength mostly), but that's not acceptable to me long-term. If he wants to be a real star, he'll need to play both ends of the court.
    • Clarkson. I won't waste my time.
    • KCP. He's wasting our time. If this is the effort he's giving on defense while hoisting 10K threes on the other end, he can f*** right off the team. LeBron is going to come or not come with or without us babysitting his guy here. I'm 100% willing to move on from this experiment. I wish we had George Hill.

Yeah but I'm not bailing him out of there. He picked his bed, now he can lie in it.

Unless the Kings want Deng, then be my guest. George is more useful and his 3rd season is just 1 million dollars guaranteed even if it's slightly more money than Deng.

    Deng/KCP for George/Vince Carter. Let's do it.

We'd be replacing Deng with a younger vet, I'm game.

Up 10-0 on the Thunder and since then, we've been outscored about 65 pts in just under 6 quarters. Down 15 at the half to an Eastern doormat of a team. Really?

That team meeting did wonders. Ship some of these primadonnas out. Harp on coaching all you want, but at some point you have to have some pride as a player.

You're not hitting your jumper or the offense is stalling, then at the very least bust your a** on D then. We're now 15th in the league in defense after spending a good portion of the early season being in the top 5. If you take December alone, we were ranked 27th in defense.

Please please please be working on a trade.
