So far for me, the episodes this second half of the season have been stronger than the first half. I like all the intended symbolism. The tornado thing was a bit of a stretch though like Real said. Also, I shook my head at their attempt to hold the door against the Zombie influx. Zombie's don't get tired. Their attempt was ridiculous unless they were expecting the tornado to wipe them out.

Loved Mischonne's (sp?) confrontation with Sasha.

    Loved Daryl's cigarette break.

Don't all barns have rafters/lofts? Zombies can't climb. Daryl sees the zombies that are about 20 yards away from the door. He yells, "WALKERS INCOMING! EVERYONE WAKE UP AND CLIMB TO HIGH GROUND!" Then MIchonne just leans over and hacks up walker heads with her sword one by one from the safety of the barn loft.

Brilliant episode. Made me really feel the weight of the entire series. In last weeks episode, the group was at their lowest point. This week, they are offered everything they've ever wanted, yet they're skeptical because of all the horrible things they've gone through. This wasn't one of the best episodes in terms of plot progression and action, but it still reminded me of how good this show is when its at its best because they handled a lot of the little things like the moral ambiguity so well.

I'm really digging where the show is right now. Rick is this man so embittered by the world that he can't even trust a good thing when he sees it. He's so skeptical that he might be risking lives just to be safe, but who can blame him? I thought every decision he made was based reasonably. I'm not in the point in the comics yet where they get to this Alexandria place, but I know about it already. It'll be really interesting to see how a person who has become so wild tries to settle back into a societal setting.

Michonne is also in an interesting place. She's not the moral compass, but she's become the voice of reason. She's a good person to kind of give the other side of the coin to Rick's constant skepticism. He knows he can trust her judgement even when he's not convinced so they make a good team.

They've got a ton of characters right now and I'm becoming a little concerned that they're going to have to work too hard to develop them. They need to kick some off or kill some people...

After coming across places like Woodbury and Terminus, two seemingly "perfect" places that really turned against the group, he has every right.

I did like Michonne too being the "voice of reason." Out of everyone in the group, she has her head on the straightest and can read people like a book.

I'm interested to see what drama unfolds in such a seemingly "perfect" place.

I think the rest of the season is going to be pretty slow. Next episode will be the introduction of the group into Alexandria. With so many characters in the group I feel like they split them into small bunches and develop their characters over several episodes. And then the final episode(s) introduces the next big baddie and what morgan is up to.

I was enjoying the group being on the road after so long in the Woodbury / Prison / Terminus sequence. I'm not thrilled about the whole Alexandria thing. Don't like Aaron or his significant other.

    I think I'm becoming Rick.

These are the best "slow" episodes of the entire series.

These episodes don't drag like previous ones (Farm, Andrea story, Governor story).

Honestly these feel about the same to me (disregarding the terrible second season), but I don't think I hated most of the slower episodes as some here

RIP Rick's beard. Haven't seen him looking like that since season 1.

Even though there's not a lot of action right now, you can feel that uncertainty from the characters about their new home.
-Daryl is having the hardest time fitting in. [They touched on this during Talking Dead] He went from hero at the prison to zero and out of his element in this mansion filled subdivision. He's a creature who's more comfortable in the wild.
-I don't know how these people in the community made it as long as they have. With the kids playing video games and their hunting squad being completely inept. I feel like you give Judith a knife and she could get more done than those two bozos.
-I loved the act Carol was putting on for Deanna. Making it seem like she couldn't handle the gun and then the lies she told during her recorded interview, making herself seem weak. Brilliant.
-Will Rick ruin this for them? Will he have just cause? Or will the paranoia in their heads blow this whole thing up?

This was a great episode. Sure there wasn't a lot of action except for that small walker fight with Rick and Carl but the episode was filled with great moments.

Carol acting clueless, Deanna paying a visit it the middle of the night, that whole loot run.

Can't wait to see where the rest of the season goes.

Also where in the world is morgan.

Yeah I liked the whole fish out of water thing for Daryl this episode. The husband on the porch moment with Rick has real potential. Carol was amazing. Loved how they made Rick shaving seem interesting.

He's living on borrowed time after that. He'll die 1 of 3 ways -- 1) Rick, 2) walker, 3) Darly (just cause).

The show is going very much by the comic for the last few episodes. I kind of like the fact that its still just different enough that you aren't quite sure what's going to happen next.

I just hope they blow half of Carl's face off at some point since I know they wont chop Rick's hand off

Without getting into spoilers because I'm on my phone: I love how it's close to the book but has just some slight differences. I wonder who takes the "Andrea" role. I like the Daryl aspect but I wonder what they're going to do with him.

Like someone else said, RIP Rick's Beard. I felt sadder seeing the beard go than I did with Tyrese.

But in all seriousness, this was another very good episode. The ending line was awesome. At this point, I think Rick has a good reading on the rest of Alexandria. He's going to be naturally cautious, but he's not paranoid that they have some kind of dark secret like the Terminites. He just knows that they're weak. As long as they're giving him a safe place to raise his family, he's okay with playing the cop. But if their weakness starts to compromise his family, he's going to start doing things his own way.

If this was really happening, obviously I wish that Rick would be able to work things out and everyone lives happily ever after in this safe haven. But as a viewer of the show, I want Rick to have to make some tough decisions. It would be awesome to see him brutally take over Alexandria, in a way where we as the viewer know where he's coming from, but to outsiders within the show, he pretty much looks just as bad as the Governor.

I was getting that vibe too. He's talking like the Governor right now and I kinda love it.

One thing I don't really get from tonight's episode:

Why did Rick go for the pistol when he saw the guy put his arm around the lady? Is he just jealous and wants to kill the guy? Seems a bit dramatic, considering you just met the girl.

Then again he probably hasn't had any in awhile lol
