I feel like this should be a short video with Ron Howard narrating over it Arrested Development style about the silliness of the title.

Followed by Gob explaining to Michael how genius the title is because it's a solo film with a character named Solo.

Cut to Gob in the theatre watching the movie with a sad look on his face... “I made a huge mistake”.

Gob then looks around and "quietly" tries to leave the theater on his Segway that he left obstructing a spot reserved for a wheelchair.

That could totally be a "next time on Arrested Development" scene.

Yes! They’re finally breaking away from known characters and the same timeline, and who better to be in charge. Love this.

I'm going to guess he'll be going back into Old Republic territory. I bet some of the set-up in Episode 8 comes from beliefs older than the Jedi Temple we know about and he'll be fleshing those stories out with his own trilogy.

That would be my hope. We’ve only ever gotten old republic in video games and now non-canon novels and such. A darker trilogy during that time period, delving deeper into the force mythology would be amazing.

There is also a live action Star Wars TV show is being developed...and they are going to start twisting the screws making it only available on the new Disney streaming service that's coming.

Eh, that’s alright, I don’t have HBO and I manage to watch Game of Thrones. There’s always a way to get around these greedy companies. But, while I do hate that Disney is making their own streaming service, if it ends up having amazing content, and is priced similarly to Netflix, it may end up being worth it.

It's going to have all Marvel content going forward and now a Star Wars show? Absolutely it's going to be worth it to me.

Not to mention of course their great movie selection.

So, new triology, new live action series, new animated series to replace Rebels, and all marvel tv shows going there. It will be worth the price, and I would imagine its just a matter of time before Disney scoops up more content from Fox and/or someone else.

Could she be a better face of the franchise for Disney-led Star Wars. She’s funny, engaging, doesn’t give anything away, smiles politely the entire time and answers questions she’s probably heard 1,000 times. What a find for SW.

So per the director the new Trilogy will have nothing to do with Knights of the Old Republic... :dwightcrying:

I saw that. So bummed. Fingers crossed that's what the live-action TV show tackles.

Kinda bummed about that, but at the same time, they have endless time to make an old republic movie or show. The interviews I saw Rian said he pitched something completely new. New characters, new places, nothing we have seen before. That alone has me excited for it, because I think it allows them to break out a little finally and stick to less set rules. I think even with the old republic movie they’d still be stuck in known rules, Jedi, Sith, a government we already know, characters probably popping up from old canon. I’m good with all new, never seen before stuff, it’s time.

I’m more bummed about this. Like wtf people, it’s Han freakin Solo. It better be in 9 and Lando better be there
