They weren't offering enough ..... we're holding out for an unprotected 1st along with them taking Brewer and Pennis and Deng and giving us the expiring contracts back to cover the trade requirements.

I'm referring to that one picture that showed Orlando's trade targets in the background of some player signing a contract.

Then Lonzo can be the first player to have a triple double with (2) Kuz's on the same team!

No, although it's relative. Compared to our guys, most players could be described as "shooters".

I don't understand the interest. Not a shooter, not a playmaker. But he is another 6'9 SF/PF.

But does he have the intangible, animalistic energy that Brewer brings?

Probably not, but we don't play the Suns every night either.

This gives roughly $20M in cap space for Philly to use next summer. Its officially a 2 man arms race now between LA and Chicago for 2018 free agency.

I think Philadelphia knows they're not a destination and aren't landing a big fish even if their team looks solid. There's too many weird rumors going around, too many unhappy players, not enough seriousness. They're not convincing LeBron or Carmelo or George to sign there. They might as well pay their youngsters.

I like Covington. I'm not sure he's worth that much, but he's definitely worth a good amount.

i don't know if covington's worth it, but it's close enough. i like the good will gesture from the team that developed him--sends a good message to other players, agents, etc. covington has maintained a positive attitude and performed, and they value that. good on them. maybe the old sixers are dead. they've got PLENTY of talent in embiid/simmons/fultz should all get and stay healthy, so the FA big fish is sort of useless to them.

also, that redick signing was big for them. i like kcp, but redick got the same deal, and his shot-making ability is the difference between our two teams right now.
