if ol' kupchak were here, i'd consider this a kupchak special. trade nada for an underperforming 3rd year player (from orlando, no less--ariza anyone?). profit.

if malachi richardson and a 2nd was good enough, we got the juice. i'm in. need wingz.

Thinking this should be our route next summer; go after James and Cousins.

Yep. Ditch Cousins if you can land George unless you can squeeze all 3 in and keep Lonzo. Id probs give up Ingram for all 3.

Oky is looking for a buyout. Would be interesting as Randle/Zu insurance if they were to be part of some deal st the trade deadline. But would he condone LA passing on him during the draft?....I mean it was the previous regime. Magic has commented that he likes Oky.

It's virtually impossible to get all three unless 2/3 of them are willing to take massive pay cuts.

I'd do Zubac, Ennis and a future 2nd rd pick.

The Sixers really did this kid wrong. They could have moved him at any point for something and now his value is zero. What do they expect? They've really jerked him around and while he earned some skepticism early, that's still not the way to treat one of your employees. If you're not going to play him, trade him somewhere he will get a shot.

I'm 100% interested in giving him a place to stay. I don't know what minutes we could offer him, but he deserves a second chance somewhere.

I think his best landing spot would be the Spurs. If we can get him for cheap, why not but I really don't see us being able to develop him properly with not playing at the C position.

I would absolutely give him a chance here. And no, I don’t think he would still be mad at LA, like you said that was Mitch and Jim. If I remember right during the draft Magic wanted the Lakers to take Okafor. I still think we made the right call on Russ at 2 based on everything that happened at that time, the workouts and such, but if we could get Okafor cheap now, absolutely do it.

If he's available, I expect Magic to get on the phone ASAP and make some inquiries.

I'm not sure what we can do...but heck, maybe Philly would be interested in Randle/Zubac/Deng for Okafor? Sixers collect a few assets for Okafor, and we get to dump Deng and now our frontcourt becomes Lopez/Nance/Okafor/Kuzma with Bogut mixing in. If any injuries happen to Bogut or Lopez, Okafor could potentially get upwards of 30 minutes a game.

    let's not forget this guy's rookie year numbers: 18 & 7 with a 1 block a game.

Whoa! Yeah I do love and am astonished by his freaking huge hands. But truthfully Bryant might wind being a better and (BIG) small ball center. "Flys all over the court" per Luke in practice. Bigger height wise (right?), long, pretty athletic, probably already a better defender and has one hell of a nice 3 point stroke.

i don't think okafor is beyond recovery, but i'm offering next to nothing. i don't think he's got a good head on his shoulders. if you're glad russell's gone at any cost, you shouldn't want okafor. he's got all the same problems upstairs, and his skillset is less useful currently.

Hed have to drop some legit weight.. Really dont see him as a great fit.. Bryant is the guy we need to emerge eventually. We need someone that can move and scrap.

I think a 2nd round pick would do it. No way I give Bryant.

But.... Lopez, Bogut, Zu, Bryand AND Okafor? That's just too many.

Last night I saw the benefit of Bogut. Like to see what else he can bring. No way I give up Zu or Bryant this early. I'd take Okafor, but not sure where he fits.

I have no idea what I'd offer. I think he's likely a more useful player than Bryant. I think he's better than Zu.

But that still amounts to zero minutes.

He'd make a lot more sense as a FA add.

If they were worried about getting something back in trade, then they should have exercise his option. That seems like a really bogus excuse from management.

I think he should get another shot, but not sure I want him. Have you seen his highlights on defense? I don't think he's a fit here at all.
