yeah why would bledsoe want to play for a team that isn't much better than the suns?

but by all means, if all it takes to get him is randle or clarkson and a future pick then come on down

Wondering if San Antonio would make a move here; don't even know if they have the pieces...

It doesn't matter where he wants to play, he's going to play there. His contract is guaranteed. The only reason he's being traded now is because he's been such a distraction. He'd lose money if he went to his new city and started acting out again without giving the city a chance.

The real detriment to a deal: we have nothing to offer them that we'd be willing to move. Bledsoe makes roughly 15 million. I can guarantee you any deal they're making they will want to attach more salary outgoing. They're not going to to trade Bledsoe for Deng, so how do we make contracts match?

Bledsoe/Dudley for Clarkson/Brewer/Randle/1st or something like that might be enough, but I'm not sure. They'll find better packages elsewhere.

Read today that the Suns owner is a cheapskate. He probably jumped at the opportunity to unload Bledsoe’s contract as soon as an ounce of dissension appeared.

I would put money on J.West working something out to get him.

If the Lakers got him, he’d get injured within a month.

There you go. Those are some much better deals than we can offer. Bledsoe in Denver would be interesting. Bledsoe in Milwaukee seems like a bit of a waste.

Bledsoe in NY makes a lot of sense and is a move they should very much pursue.

lowe called bledsoe to denver last week, and it makes a lot of sense. if i'm denver, i want more than mudiay--he doesn't look like much. ny should offer only one of hernangomez and ntlikina (probably the latter makes more sense).

i like bledsoe in mil, actually. and monroe/maker is a sensible deal.

still, though, does phx want to get even younger? they seem rudderless; it's why bledsoe wants out.

cautionary tale, btw: we're on that path.

Bledsoe in Denver locks them up as a playoff team I think, assuming they only really lose Mudiay in the deal.

I’d gladly give up guys like ennis, randle, Hart, deng for Bledsoe

Makes the pf rotation easier and solidifies our 2nd unit PG

eber that the owner is supposedly a cheaply, soni doubt he’d be looking to take back a heavy deal like Deng even if paired with Randle. Though it might be a good deal for both parties.

First of all, I hope he's okay...he's a stand up guy. But Pels could be in trouble and that adds an extra wrinkle to Boogie's availability next summer.

Also I hope BK prevents losses cause its not a good thing for us. That Cavs BK pick needs to be a mediocre asset, cause they can still use it to bring in help for LaBron and convince him to stay. Or they can lose LaBron to free agency and still get that #1 pick, making Gilbert happy. Either way, Mr. Comic-sans must suffer for the unfinished business we have with him. Taking Bron away from him, while that pick sucking would be cold and delicious AF.

    Also Via ESPN's Ian Begley:

Now the significant talent is up for debate, but we do have some young players.

clarkson for bledsoe isn't crazy at this point, but it doesn't beat monroe and maker. i'm not sure i'm willing to beat that price, actually. i'd do randle/clarkson (because it clears cap and logjam) if phx added an expiring or something.

I think that might be giving up a bit too much. Monroe/Maker sounds good, but isn't as good as it would have been 2 years ago. Maker and Monroe aren't the players we gave them credit for even as early as last season. They both average 15 minutes a game. Clarkson is a better player than either of those two at this point, let alone Randle.

I don't think we should really be in on the Bledsoe race. Why? He'd be our backup pg this season and next season he'd get in the way of signing 2 max free agents. Not that I think that's likely at this point, but it'd be stupid to throw away any hope of it for Eric Bledsoe.

We could conceivably grab him and still have two max slots.

    Clarkson/Randle for Bledsoe/Alan Williams

    Deng/Ingram for 1st round pick 2019/2nd round pick 2020

    Lakers salary summer 2018:

    Bledsoe: 15
    Lonzo: 7.5
    Nance: 2.3
    Kuzma: 1.7
    Hart: 1.7
    Zubac: 1.5
    Bryant: 1.4
    Cap Holds: 3.5
    Total: 34.6

    Available cap space: 66.4

    Full Max starts at 34
    7-9 Max starts at 29
    0-6 Max starts at 24

We'd still have a few million left to spare (between 2-4 million) after LeBron and George.
