IT on that 4/28 contract is a much better value than any of the other PG options we seem to be exploring. Wouldn't mind trading for him at all. Especially if Hill is all we give up(he's gone anyway).

I would imagine it would take that Houston pick, but that would be fine with me anyway. It'll be a late 25+ pick for the most part.

We really are unlikely to make a move that improves our team this season. We're trying to tank.
These trades could get revisited after the season is over though.

Steep for someone who might only be a rental. Hopefully the player with all star potential takes Houston out of the running.

Yikes he's not getting moved if that's their call. Who has All-Star potential that's available?

smart move by phx. worst case, you lose him for nothing, but I'd rather re-sign and trade afterward if necessary. his looming free agency is driving his trade value too far down.

Again as it is now Dragic for 20 Mil a year seems way high... but the following year the cap is expected to jump to 90 million due to the TV money coming in. Then it may not be such a pricey contract, and he is a solid player.

the lakers threatening max makes it harder for Houston to part with a first rounder for dragic. I think that's the play here. dragic is going to get a ton of cash this summer, though probably not max. but the smart money would be on him staying with whichever team has his rights (for that 5th year).

I expect the lakers to further mess with Houston as they negotiate with Beverly next summer, too.

Dear God. If we give Dragic the full max this offseason, I will officially have lost all faith in our front office. We are going to pay the max for a player who is at best in the second tier point guards; a player who will play most of that contract in his 30s. Is this the new Lakers? Win 20-30 games a season and DRASTICALLY overpay for above average talent? The thought of this literally (not joking) made me sick to my stomach.

I like Goran Dragic but for a max deal? No, thank you. Besides wouldn't that mess up any future plans to land someone like Jimmy Butler or Kevin Durant in the following offseason?

No, it wouldn't. If not Dragic, the other available PG is Rondo...if we strike out on getting Dragic/Rondo, we could always have Price run the offense. Such a recruiting tool that would be...

Looks like Dragic is pushing to get out of PHX. Have to hope the Lakers don't make a panic trade for him.

Yeah, Lakers suck right now. Maybe Dragic looks past that and wanting to play here cause he wants to reunite with his mentor Steve Nash.

Oh, this is getting better and better. Screw Houston!!! Screw the damn beard and soft a$$ Howard. I do like Pat and Phil, though, for obvious reasons...
