It sure seems like Marvel Television is doing their best to sink their own ship. In some ways I think this is all tied to hurt feelings over Fiege being given the reigns over at Marvel Studios and being removed from their control. I wonder how long it will take for them to realize this mediocre nonsense isn't going to work, or if Disney will step in and make large scale changes. Personally I image its only a matter of time before Disney steps in and "restructures" both Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Comics.
I think this very well might be the best Netflix Marvel show since Daredevil season 1. Really good song choice too.
So which of us is willing to take the bullet and watch it lol. At least this makes sure AoS will continue.
All you broham! I gotta think that Disney isn't gonna tolerate this crap show much longer. How long until marvel is restructured or the pres, name escapes me, who has been messing all sorts of stuff up is shown the door.
Finally made my way to starting and finishing The Defenders. I enjoyed parts of it, mostly being a sucker for hero team-ups, but it wasn't all that great. I'll put the rest in spoiler tags. Spoiler Can we stop with the constant cutting during the fight scenes! They was better fighting than in IF but man do I get nauseous. I think the weakest of the four acting wise has to be Danny Rand, I'm sick of hearing that he's the immortal Iron Fist, protector of blah blah blah. From the comics, I always thought him to be not as serious as DD but not as joking as Spiderman. More somewhere in the middle not this constant brooding we see. He is always the weakest in the scenes he shares with the other Defenders. He was a lot better though. DD, JJ and Cage are still the same characters I've grown to like from their standalone seasons. Weaver was a poor villain though, she's too vanilla. To be fair its hard to match Fisk, Killgrave and Cottonmouth but she could have been a lot better. I am done with The Hand storyline though, what seemed like a huge threat at the start really fizzled out towards the end. "War for New York" boiled down to "we don't want to die, dragon bones". And then I thought Black Sky was using Elektra as a vessel turned out to not really be so? I do hope the Netflix MCU recaptures the magic they found in DD season 1 with the Punisher and sequel seasons for everything. Also, man that intro. I really liked how they did the map of NY that lights up into their silhouettes.
I thought Danny was awesome in Defenders honestly. And I have absolutely zero intention of watching Inhumans. It sounds awful, looks awful, smells awful, feels awful... Am I missing any senses? It smizzes awful. (A high five to anyone who gets that extremely specific reference).
But how does it taste? As for the imax inhumans performance, at one point it sky rocketed from 0% on rotten tomatoes to a impressive 7%. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Well now it has dropped to 6% with 0% top critics. So its been scientifically proven that more people like to be sex tortured than like the Inhumans...
All I can tell is that it's using real comic characters from the X-Men universe. I spotted Blink, Warpath, Domino (I think), and I think maybe Havok.
Hmmm wonder if it's in the same (albeit confused) universe of the movies but looks decent, much better than Inhumans. I'll give it a watch, which reminds me I still need to watch Legion.
