I love Arya but her going toe to toe with Brienne in a straight up sword fight? Come on now...

I understood it in principle, but execution wasn't great. I still liked the scene though.

The whole aunt/nephew thing is pretty gross and yet I'm curious how they work it all out. I mean if the two get married, Jon Snow can be King while leaving Sansa in charge to do day-to-day stuff.

Are we all pretty much in agreement that Cercei is going to die this season?

^ she has the Greyjoys (fleet i know). Plus i think she'll try to hire the Golden Company. Don't know how will she pay them now though.

I'm still in a bit of shock after last night. My heart was in my throat on that second scorpion bow shot at Drogon, especially when the director cleverly zoomed in on Drogon's throat. I thought for a second Drogon might go down. But looking back I really shouldn't have been too worried. This was obviously supposed to be a "Dany Wins" night. If they had killed Drogon, it would have been Dany's biggest loss by far.

I agree with Kenzo. Arya is not all of a sudden going to take on Brienne. I mean, it wasn't that long ago where she was having difficulty taking on the waif and was only able to beat her because she fought her in the dark. Also, I'm not sure I like her emotional development. She is supposedly happy to see her relatives and happy to be home, but she also seems like she's a millimeter away from being a full blown sociopath.

Cersei is going to have a lot of trouble convincing the Iron Bank to back her now. Her Scorpion Crossbow proved to be useful, but not practical against 3 dragons. The Iron Bank will obviously hear about how quickly the Lannister army was incinerated with only one dragon.

Future considerations: Tyrion had a definite "What have I done?" moment as he watched Drogon barbecue all those people. You know he's having second thoughts about his decision to back her. I'm now starting to wonder if Dany gets taken down when this whole thing is over. She is growing increasingly annoying with her "bend the knee" BS, and she is getting more and more antsy to destroy the Red Keep.

Next week's episode has Danny on Drogon in front of Jon Snow. I wonder if Drogon acts a certain way around Jon that hints that he's a Targaryen?

I mean if Cercei had 200 of those Scorpion Bows manning the towers at the Red Keep, the dragons would have a hard time getting close. One arrow did some pretty significant damage. A dozen would kill the dragon. I'd go to the bank and say, "pay me for the bows and I'll destroy the dragons and the girl. I'll re-institute slavery and help you kill three dragons with one stone".

Tyrion should be grateful Danny hasn't dropped his *** yet. He went from a drunk to the Queen's hand. I'd say his journey was as crazy as Arya's. He's woefully underqualified for his position. I think Tyrion really just doesn't like death and I think he loves his brother more than anyone in the world so he was having a hard time watching him "die".

They keep saying winter is here, so where is it? It seems like the undead are still an enemy for the future.

I have to disagree about Arya. It was a fight using weapons and skill, where speed would be king as long as she doesn't get hit, she would stand a chance there. The same reason why the horse riders (can't remember their name at this time lol) beat the Lannister army with no armor.

Also, The Waif was supposed to be skilled as f***.

But then again, I might be biased as Arya is my favorite character. I'm hoping she's the one that kills Cerci.

Oh and I loved that line from Arya:

"Who taught you how to fight?"
    "No one"

Yeah I get you there. I think Brien's sparring with Pod is as much a vanity project for Brien as it is anything else. I liked that Arya got in there and mixed it up with her. I like that they used the same actress for the sparring session, but if they'd used a stunt double they could have showcased more of Arya's skill level using her speed and quickness to her advantage.

The only thing I found pretty unbelievable was Arya's ability to parry that enormous broadsword with Needle. The blade would snap under the pressure of that broadsword on some of those strokes, but that's okay. It was cool seeing Brien put in her place a little after she's been picking on poor, bumbling Pod.

The Starks are seriously becoming like the Westeros version of the Avengers:

Arya Stark: Serial killer and bad *** assassin
Sansa Stark: Politcal mastermind in the mold of Cersei/Margery/Littlefinger/Tyrion
Bran Stark: Sees everything about everyone at all times, past and present. Oh and he can warg.
Jon Snow: Came back from the dead, the ultimate warrior, possibly Jesus Christ reincarnate.

I want there to be a miniseries after the show is done showing that Little Finger has actually been the puppeteer behind everything happening in Westeros. I really want to know what his end game is because right now it's just him saying and doing creepy/shady things without much closure.

His endgame is to be King and have Sansa as his wife/Queen.

But personally, I think his days are numbered with Arya and Bran in Winterfell now.
