@vasashi17 I havent thought about that decision (phil or mike d) jim buss made in a while. ANYONE should have seen that Phil was the obvious choice especially with our personnel. im angry now thinking about it. i agree with you 100% on the impact of that move

and I truly love kobe more than any player ever. i honestly think hes the goat. so when i give him any blame its hard.

you're on to something tho...this is indeed the optimism thread so im changing gears. im optimistic that over time people will see kobe for how a majority of us do.

ps- screw you mike d its all your fault! (and jimmys)

I don't buy PG just wants to win and that would mean OKC at that point if Melo comes too. PG sees what we are building in rapid fashion here in L.A., and the incredible young talent the Lakers have acquired, who is running the show now in Magic Johnson, who is coaching and the cap room we are going to have to put a STRONG roster around him in 2018 .... and he really really wants to come home and do it here in L.A. Make his own mark on his hometown worldwide known Lakers team. That would be my observation. Melo at that point clearly past his prime. Cows spinning around in ****ing tornados and all that. Getting to hang out in Kobe's private gym when he wants ... the cherry on top of the sundae.

Overall, I agree with this. We do seem to be catching some breaks and I'm all for it.

Keep in mind, Melo has never equaled winning in the NBA. The high water mark of his 14-season career was ONE trip to the CONFERENCE finals. Also keep in mind that in terms of usage rate, the entire concept of Melo and Wetsbrook on the same team is absurd. They'd have to start every OKC possession with a jump ball between the two of them. Even if it somehow worked, their most optimistic projection is what? A trip to the conference semis? Please.

Ingram's arms are scary long. Seriously they're something out of a nightmare the kind of length he has.

I like that they're working on Zu's explosiveness. That barrel workout with Ingram is to strengthen his core and hopefully try to protect his frame with some muscle. What I love most about that workout for Ingram is the functionality of it. Instead of the barrel, imagine he's holding a basketball and driving to the rim taking those long strides. That's what we're trying to strengthen and work on.

I'd hope Zu would have put more muscle on at this point, but it looks like he may not have the metabolism for it just yet.

Love it! This would be their new state of the art weight room ( I'm assuming) as well. Probably some trick new machines in there.

That is actually Gunnar Peterson's own gym.

The gym at our new facility still won't be ready for a few weeks via a tweet I read a few days ago.

JC looked good! I'm still hopeful he can continue developing - him and Randle both!

Great vid as always from LD2K, it's a great time to be optimistic. Have not been this excited in the off season since we signed Shaq.

There's gotta be a team out there that needs an undercover tank commander. Byron Scott sure knows how to setup those sweet 1st and 2nd draft picks while talking about effort!
