He is extremely talented though and one of the "lure" that could reel in Durant in '16. I suppose it depends on our draft pick on who we can go after. If we get Russel or Mudiay, my target would be Brook. If it is Okafor or any other big man, then it will be Dragic.

The thing that bothers me about Lopez is his lack of focus on rebounding. He's definitely more offense oriented and a below average rebounder despite his physical advantages.

I can see Byron throwing him to the bench in a heartbeat that way.

I like the idea of Taj for Hill. I know Taj has 2 yrs 17.4M remaining, but it isn't that bad considering what he provides. He gives us a lot of flexibility building our frontcourt. He's able to play PF or C & can protect the rim, strong overall defender, grabs a lot of offensive boards so we aren't losing anything there. I've been completely against it, but trading for Taj would make signing Monroe much more acceptable. We could add Monroe's scoring ability while still keeping a strong defensive presence in the paint. Taj's contract is a lot better than the contract we'd need to give Asik or Jordan to come be that defensive presence, so in a way it's a bargain. This also takes the pressure off of Randle to start & play a huge role as soon as he comes back. He can be the 6th man like LO was for us & still have a huge impact, or he could be used as trade bait. If we keep our pick & the best player on the board is a big, that player could also be trade bait. If we're going to go that route I'd love to see a package built around Randle or our pick for a talented young PG, possibly someone like Brandon Knight who might leave as a RFA, or Bledsoe who is locked in to a contract that doesn't look as bad as it did when there were more questions about his knees.

Knight-Kobe-Young-Gibson-Monroe + our pick or Randle + whatever scraps we can attract with the remaining $. I could definitely get behind that team.

It makes sense for Chicago as well, as we all know Jordan can play well next to Pau. His team option also makes him much more attractive to a Bulls team that is always 1 Rose injury away from disaster. With Pau & Noah, Jordan would always have a good shotblocker next to him & could focus on the things he excels at.

The reasons I don't think it will happen: We won't want to take on salary with our Superstar or Bust mentality in FA. Hill's shorter contract, Team Option, & similar production probably make him more valuable than Taj. As such, Mitch will try to bend Chicago over for picks or a young asset.

I think Tobias Harris just told us to grab him this summer.

He earned his stuff tonight. Like I said in the Game Time chat.

    Tobias: Help us, help you.

He certainly did that with a career high 34 pts on 11-14 FGM

I think it would be a great idea to think about offering him a contract this Summer

I've always been a fan of Harris since he saved my fantasy team by blowing up out of nowhere a few years ago. Apparently he was at his grandfather's funeral earlier today and he still managed to play and go off for a career high.

Is he going to be an unrestricted free agent?

restricted. waste of time, literally. He'll just hold up our free agency hunt if we make an offer which will be eventually matched.

We need to dump some people. Lin and Hill specifically; buy out Boozer. Finish this season in the top 2 and let is get our top 5 pick.

I agree on the Lin and Hill trade front, but buying out Boozer would just be to easy for the league to know we're tanking. It would be a lot easier to explain if we had a healthy Randle who needed more minutes and time on the court to develop.

I'm not saying we shouldnt buy out Boozer, but I dont think its happening

Can we even buy out Boozer if we got him on an amnesty claim? Well if we can, I think we should do it. Its the type of tank move that can be spun in a better light if we convince Boozer to request the buyout himself. Apparently Amare is considering asking NY to buy him out. The team isn't going anywhere so he'd rather finish off the year helping out a playoff team. Maybe we can convince Boozer to do the same. It will look more like we're just helping out a veteran player than pure tanking.
