I hope Borri is getting his Kobe fix with this thread. Hey .... say Hi once in awhile now that you've found the old crew.
Kobe at the 5:07 mark on that video is how I remember his youthful years. Long, fluid, yet aggressive.
My Mamba collection. My favorite has to be the blue throwback. Man those jerseys are sick. Wish we'd bring them back. I like them even more than the 80's throwbacks. Haven't worn them since Kobe/Shaq's final season together I believe.
I'll probably forever regret not seeing him live. Now I'll never get that chance unless it's to sign an autograph, which I'll probably never get a chance to get either. That's a void that will never be filled.
Sorry to hear that. Nobody put on a show like Kobe. I just reminsince about all those Lakers/Spurs games in San Antonio all the classic finishes, all the incredible scoring eruptions by Kobe as well as clutch shots, the MVP chants and just being on the edge of my seat. Just something I'll always cherish.
Not sure if this was posted on here. Kenyon Martin had a "The 5 Guys Everybody Hated Playing Against" on The Players' Tribune about 3 months ago. Kobe was on that list. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/kenyon-martin-the-5-players-everyone-hated-playing-against Others on the list: Reggie Evans, Ron Artest, Kevin Garnett, and Jerry Sloan
Seriously. The kid had that name? And that story is true? Punk. There's no crying in basketball when you have that name.
wait, how old was Kobe when he said this to MJ? MJ is older than Kobe, so how can this be??? Got to be a different kid named Michael Jordan and probably not Michael B. Jordan (the actor)
Tracy made that guy look like a damn fool. Dirk is a terrific clutch player and I think the world of him as a competitor, but he's not Kobe. The idea that Kobe played with Shaq being a crutch especially in THIS argument just shows the level of hate that idiot has in him for Kobe.
McGrady is the only defender I ever saw block 24's fade away. Best other two way player of his time besides the subject of this thread.
