Looks like the Lakers probably told Ronda he was gonna have to come off the bench. Ronda said, NAH! and went to NOLA!

Yep. He shot 40% from the 3-point line in April, and he's cheap.

Ennis is going to crumble like a cookie when the pressure to perform starts. It's easier to shoot from 40% when you know you don't have to win games.

Yeah, well, OX, there is really nobody out there right now, man, and A). He'll probably take a 1-year deal and B.) He's cheap. C.) He's use to running Luke's offense.

I'm fine with missing out on Rondo. He's got a lot of baggage and while it would be good to have another facilitator and defender off the bench, it's just a backup role and we can look elsewhere. Rondo's got a lot of ego and he's got that C bag stink as well.

Too bad about Clark but he wants to get paid.

I am just tired of mediocre, d league players who perform well when it doesn't matter and we think they are good for the team. Ennis is not good. Even as a back up. He is a 3rd tier PG. That's it. Lakers need a back up PG who can actually be effective. If they cant find that guy, don't waste a roster spot on it. Let Clarkson cover the PG position for 13 min during the game.

Clarkson is a disaster at PG, OX. And well I respect your point, this is what happens when you wait this long in FA and you're only offering 1-year deals. You're not exactly getting premium choices here, OX.

You also didn't want Rondo, right? Beggars can't be choosers. Would you like to sign Isaiah Canaan or Aaron Brooks?

Of course Clarkson is a disaster at PG. That's why you play your star PG 35 min and let Clarkson handle it during resting time. Spelling 6 min at the beginning of the 2nd and 4th quarters isnt going to destroy the offense. The job of the bench is to maintain the lead and not kill the game while stars rest during an 82 game season. That's what Clackson's good for. Maintain and score off the bench. Anything more than that you are asking for too much.

I'm very happy about this. I don't want the c bag slash lowlights regular anywhere near this team. The Cousins Rondo s***show resumed will be fun to witness from afar once again.

Sometimes I think we're all too harsh with our criticism of JC. Does he have deficiencies in his game? Absolutely. But he still averaged almost 15 ppg, and is an elite level athlete. We've gotten incredible value out of him as the #48 pick. Go back and look at all the guards picked before him in the 2014 draft. As a matter of fact, JC has the 4th highest career ppg average of all 60 guys drafted in the class of 2014, only behind Wiggins, Parker and Embiid (the top 3 picks coincidentally). That's unbelievable value. Some of us (me included) want Ennis back who was picked 30 spots ahead of JC at #18.

What are you basing this off? There's no evidence to suggest Ennis will struggle next year. We're talking about a backup PG role playing 10-15 minutes.

Ball isn't a star yet as much as I think we all want him to be one (even his detractors) because it ensures the Lakers relevance in both on and off the court. Addtionally, playing a skinny 19-year old rookie, might suggest he hit a wall earlier than expected, which I think is a logical prediction considering Ball has never play a full 82 games before; furthermore, even increasing injury. He's already had groin issues.

I don't think you can put Clarkson out there for any period of time as PG and expect him to keep the lead; I think he's that incompetent at PG. Hey, I have wrong before (many times), so we'll see...
