I think Clarkson might be gone sooner honestly.

We're at 12 right now, waiting on Thomas Bryant to sign.

    Ball/
    Pope/Clarkson/Hart
    Ingram/Brewer/Deng
    Randle/Nance/Kuzma
    Lopez/Zubac/(Bryant)

Tania says we're looking at either Rondo or Ennis for that last spot. Rumor is we offered Rondo the four million exception we have (I thought it was 8 million, I must have misunderstood the CBA wording) and I bet Ennis would just be a minimum deal if Rondo turns it down.

I honestly think Clarkson will be moved at this point, but for what and to wear I don't know. I think then you finish with Rondo or Ennis and call it a summer. That roster looks a lot better than last year's.

What do you think is going on there? Holding his signing off for some $ advantage in FA?

Yeah, better. Everytime I see Deng. Ugh. I think he's more of a 4, though. He's even said it himself. That's all moot, though; he might not even be playing. Randle and Nance are going to probably be our small-ball 5's.

    Should be fun.

Yeah I just dumped him in the back somewhere. I don't actually think he has any impact on our team besides sucking up money. If the Lakers don't have a relationship with Deng's agency that they feel they need to protect, I'd honestly ask Deng it stay away from the team.

Boy, there is a bench line up that I see Luke going to that will include Clarkson/Brewer/Kuzma/Nance. It's a pretty athletic across the board and all of those guys play pretty hard. It could be an explosive line up with adequate defense given that they are playing against other 2nd strings. If we're blessed with good health across 8-9 players, I think the Lakers will be better than most think. Pretty exciting

    Lonzo / Clarkson / Caruso
    KCP / Brewer / Hart
    Ingram / Kuzma
    Randle / Nance / Deng
    Lopez / Zu / Bryant

Would not mind Rondo or Clark to push Clarkson to the 2. I'd play Kuzma at the 3 right now because our defense can't get any worse and he brings a lot to the table. If his skill set translates in camp and preseason, I'm finding him minutes.

Deng....sorry bro you signed up for this and you didn't help your cause last year for needing to being on the court.

30+ win team as of right now. Can't see higher than 37-39 but at least we would be trending up.

The Laker fan in me agrees, but I think we'll see more of:

    Lonzo/(backup PG probably Ennis
    Pope/Clarkson/Hart
    Ingram/Brewer
    Randle/Deng/Kuzma
    Lopez/Nance/Zu/Bryant

*Caruso and Dozier left off the roster for now

I think Deng being your sort of small-ball four off the bench makes sense especially early since he can sort of stretch the floor, can rebound, and defend PFs easier than anything else these days. We need him to build some outside value too. I got the "Deng being your backup PF" idea for the the LFR podcast, but Zubac is out of the rotation right now until he shows me something better in training camp. If Kuzma outplays Deng, then f*** it play Kuzma, but I think for now you try to get Deng in the lineup to get him some outside value and improve our ability to trade him away.

I feel what youre saying.. Deng does make sense but were setting a foundation for the future, if its close you give the nod to Kuz easy. This is a 21 year old with a lil experience and a motor. But who knows maybe put Deng in and allow him to play aggressive on D purposely to then go in with Kuz.

Right now after watching Kuz, Ball etc. in SL and signing KCP...

the Lakers lineup looks better than last year. A year more for Randle, Ingram and Ball looks like he could replace Russell and we also have Brooks now in the lineup...30 wins looking likely right now. But injuries or further moves could change everything.

I'm now optimistic that the pick we will give up won't be a top 5.
