Even though klay is a great fit, I would hope that stern would come out of retirement and pull the "basketball reasons" card for that one.

Sucks for the Spurs, they don't usually lose young players they took a chance on that earlier.

Pfffttttt. Who you want to play for. Fun loving, surfer dude, next great coach, everybody loves him Luke Walton and the incredibly resurgent Los Angeles Lakers ..... or grumpy old drill sergeant Popovich and likely a weaker roster 1-12 by start of 2018?

They've got the Kawhi trump card. I'd rather play with Kawhi than Ingram/Lonzo.

We have to hope those kids show out and that the other parts of being in LA appeal more than the stinky river hole that is San Antonio.

Well, they'll need to start putting a competitive team together because they've been pretty quiet this offseason.

Unless they're planning to bring over whatever stashed player they have in Europe and turn into the next Manu/Parker somewhere, not sure Kawhi and LMA and some substandard role players are going to cut it. Next summer, LMA and Danny Green have Player Options coming up as well.

any sane player would want to play with kawhi leonard. but then again, the league's elite repeatedly turned down playing with dirk nowitzki, so who knows what these guys are thinking.

Maybe I'm naive, but I'm not super worried about them. They had Duncan forever and the biggest stars they ever attracted were Aldridge and old Pau. They are more about building from within. I don't see LeBron and George or Westbrook going to San Antonio, doesn't even seem to fit with what they do there.

Isn't San Antonio subject to random cows flying in tornado events? River Walk smells? Lonzo makes the game more fun than anyone on that Spurs team? All I got.

Could be an overpay or could be a steal. Hard to tell.

Sorry real, in less than a year, players will be clamoring to play with ball.

UGH. Bulls picked up Nwaba. I was really hoping we would get him back.

I want Ian Clark, Troy Williams and Arron Afflalo to round out the roster and I want them NOW.

Was really the only game I saw him play this season. I don't watch the Spurs, they're boring.

That's entirely possible, but Kawhi today is an MVP candidate and Ball is trying to win a SL title.

Until Ball hits the NBA, I'm going to say Kawhi wins by a margin of about a billion to one. It's about whether or not Ball looks great, Ingram looks great, the offense looks great, the defense is improved, and of course whether or not the LA lifestyle/opportunity is enough to outweigh Kawhi. There's a ton of ifs in there.

I've been in San Antonio for work a few months back. One of the most boring city I've ever been to. I ain't no hunk, but imho there's absolutely no good looking people that live in that city. Other than that, everyone is very friendly and nice though :)

Here's the thing though....Spurs will have one max slot and LMA/Kawhi in tow. We will have two max slots and Ingram/Lonzo.

I don't see a situation where LeBron decides to join the Spurs...he just won't.

So now if you're PG13...do you team up with Kawhi or LeBron/Lonzo/Ingram?

Heck, of all the FA's available, would any of them go to San Antonio? Maybe Cousins would...MAYBE westbrook if PG13 is leaving...I mean who knows?

We have to hope the Spurs really fade this year or look like they're on their way down...where we have to look like we're clearly on the way up (35 wins at a minimum...40 wins preferably or getting really close to the playoffs and just missing it around 45ish wins).
