Still holding onto that sliver of a chance we can somehow flip Deng for him.

I mean why not it makes sense? Obviously the bulls are rebuilding, give us Wade and we'll give you deng, jc and top 10 protected pick along with 2nd round picks?

I don't think we get a Top 10 protection out of it. Top 5 maybe, but they'll be wanting a lottery pick if we're rebuilding. I'd offer Deng/Top 5 protected 1st/one of the kids not named Ball or Ingram for Wade. Wade is expiring anyway. If I'm Chicago I want as many kids over there as I can get. Nance would fit in great with Chicago's culture.

Love that Wade for Deng deal. We'd have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs with Wade on board.

I'd be willing to overpay. Deng, JC, Kuzma (or Hart), and a Top 10 protected 1st.

I value Nance/Nwaba much higher than Kuzma/Hart. Nance and Nwaba are currently the best 2 defenders on our team. They bring positive and constant energy off the bench.

The rookies need to play in actual NBA games to prove their worth.

I don't know, I'd be reluctant to trade Kuzma away so soon, mainly because we desperately need shooting, and so far he appears to have that skill. Between Nwaba and Hart, that's a tough one. Love Nwaba's defense and ability to get to the rim for dunks, but he has got to fix that shot, he can't even make fts right now. Hart has looked a little average, but again it's so early. His defense has been really good at times, and he can get to the hoop and finish as well, but his shot so far has looked kind of ugly too, lot of clanks and thuds. Between those 2 I probably wouldn't care which we traded. Nance and Kuzma is tougher, Nance is such a good team guy, hustle player, but I fear injuries with him, and Kuzma is unproven against real NBA completion. All that said I love the idea of dumping Deng for Wade, if we had to sacrifice a couple of the bench kids to get it done then so be it, we have to get Deng off the books somehow.

You gotta remember we have them locked up on fresh contracts. Im taking their potential and cheap depth. Thats why i give up Nwaba and Nance, along with a 2nd or both if we think we REALLY have to.

I'd like to wait and see what we have before shipping anyone out. Of course timing doesn't always match up with goals. #hoping

I'd love to trade deng for wade. Gonna be hard to get rid of his contract, best bet is we build up his trade value up to the deadline. A tanking team might do it.

Can't see a broken down wade helping us make the playoffs with the 20-30 odd games he misses. Ball, Wade, Ingram, Randle, Lopez is good for 35 games I'd say!

Trading Deng for Wade would make this a great offseason. It makes sense for both teams as well.

LOL a trade that I was joking about for a while. Reinsdorf is a cheap a** so it might be possible.

Btw what's the situation on Mirotic. Guy would be nice on this team

how about Jonathon Simmons? Decent defense, nod bad spot up shooting, athleticism. He might be looking for a long term deal though. Can $17M one year deal bring him here?

where's this wade talk coming from? i can't see a world in which chicago takes on deng's contract.

he's an RFA, so i think deals need to be three years, at least two of which are fully guaranteed.

not that I dont want Wade for the expiring part and subsequent dumping of Deng, but you're way to opptomisitic if you think this current ver. of wade is going to push us into the playoffs. Chi barely made it in the east with a prime butler and a better cast of vets than we have. Wade at the stage where he probably can't even play every game nor heavy minutes, more like lower 20mpg and every other gm at this point.

It's just wishful (borderline delusional) thinking. Unless Chicago is on some sort of "Philly Process" plan where they need to get to the cap floor and be bad as possible for 2-3 years, Deng is worthless to them(and the rest of planet Earth in general). If they plan on trying to tank for a solid 3 years, then Deng has value. :D
