Lonzo looked great. Don't get hung up on the shooting. That'll come. He sees the game so well. He's going to look amazing next to better NBA talent.

Bryant and Kuzma are this years nance and zu.

Speaking of zu, he looked awful!!!!

He's the only player in the Top 4 thats expected to initiate the offense...

Give him time to get his game legs back and a feel for the team.

Doesn't help when Vander Blackhole is chucking every time he had the ball in his hands. Zo's moving the ball well especially those up court passes, really throws of the defense off when the ball is at half court with 22 seconds on the clock.

you could tell he just wasn't comfortable with his shot. was not looking to shoot the ball in any situation

he also lacked any aggression for the most part. probably just nerves. not going to worry considering it's one game of SL

    Arena was 95% full.

Ball family had their own sitting section.

Nance was near us the entire game and signed tons of autographs while other players talked among themselves. Class act.

Magic walked on the court at the end of regulation and told Jud to take Ingram out. Not sure why. Minute limit or injury?

I got to meet Time, Rush Delivery and their wives. That was cooler than seeing my idol Lavar in person.

    Back for game 2 tomorrow.

Will post pictures when I get home Sunday.

zu looked bad. Ball looked terrible on defense and Im assuming he will settle into the offense.

I'm not sure why, but Zu looked like he is not in game shape at all. Lonzo will play better, court vision is off the charts, and the shooting will come.

He looked okay to me. Good defense in stretches and he sees the floor well. His warts were present too though. Hoping he has a better night tonight. Kids got a lot of expectations and pressure on his shoulders.

Funny, I didn't see the Clarkson-Deng-Nance-Randle-Lopez unit out there. Must've dozed off in the 2nd half...

How many of those guys will start? I agree that this wasn't LA's starting lineup, but at least two starters were out there. Right?

There were. But there's at least 2, potentially 3 in the list I gave (depending on the SG market). It was the first game of Summer League. Everyone outside of Ingram looked off. Fumbled passes, bad turnovers, stupid iso ball. I'm not ready to claim Lonzo a bust, Bryant the starting center or Sindarius Thornwell 2nd team All-NBA....

I am ready to claim Vander Blue a stupid, ball hogging gutterslut, though.

Given how things look in free agency right now, it’s not a stretch to think we are watching guys who will play major minutes for us.

Also, there’s a long distance between acknowledging that Ball had an okay at best game and calling him a bust.

Kid has got work to do like every other rookie.

It was great meeting TIME and John in person, even better than watching the rookies play their first game together. John has a sharp eye and he kept pointing out the celebrities and NBA personnel coming and going.

Ball had a mixed game, with some great passes that his teammates couldn't convert, but also with many closely missed shots that may or may not be due to his unconventional shooting form. He should rebound tonight and make more shots.

Ingram and Bryant were great, and I loved their activity and energy on the court all game long. Kuzma had the same energy, but not quite the same effectiveness on the court. Still, he had some great moments and I'm starting to see why Magic and Rob drafted him.

Not sure what happened to Zubac, but he looked slow, even disinterested at times, and had a really disappointing game. Hopefully he rebounds tonight.

One final observation: Rob is right when he said the Lakers need shooting and defense. That was clear all game long, and had just a few more shots fallen or had the team made a few more stops, this becomes an easy win for the Lakers.

Didnt care for the 11 3s to be honest and god lord that D is as bad if not worse than advertised, he got beat to the rack by Kendall "slow mo" Marshall. I dont care for ball gm but i cant label him a bust since his strenth is passing n running the O which looked solid
