Unfortunately I believe offer sheets need to be 2 years guaranteed otherwise I'd make a 17 million dollar bid on him and force Detroit to lose an asset.

    Edit on the other hand:

One year prove it deal fits him perfectly.

Exactly. I could see dumping Crowder since Hayward will be playing his position and Brown is a solid backup. Hayward/Brown is better than Crowder/Brown. But now they got rid of the sg that allows IT to get away with not playing a lick of defense? They may actually be worse than last year. Hayward can't play sg. He's just too big and slow. And he especially can't play sg next to IT. Ainge is playing in the high school chemistry lab without any instructions.

I dunno if the Celts got better with that trade, why trade a guard?

I'm fairly certain they didn't get better. I actually think they are worse than last year at this point.

what if we guaranteed the second year? it's not like kcp would be impossible to move if the lakers needed to. could open up a clarkson dump.

some team should be opportunistic here. guessing bkn will after wash matches on porter.

Oh good call on Brooklyn. I forgot they existed. I edited my post though with another tweet I've found. If he's an UFA I make a call for sure.

kcp can shoot some and defend some, and he's young. the lakers need to be kicking tires here. and i'm serious about violating the 1 year deal rule. young players can be moved. i see why they wouldn't go over for hill, as he's older and injury-prone. but again, i think you can move kcp's salary next summer (maybe even net an asset in the process).

say we paid kcp 18 per and moved clarkson's salary right now (doesn't atlanta want to absorb salary or something?). maybe we can move deng for two smaller horrific contracts (i'd have to look around) and attach an asset to one in a move later in the season?

i don't know; i'm just concerned about the product we're putting out there this year.

edit: on the other hand, if det's really willing to just let him walk, you have to wonder about him. i'm now second-guessing my five-minutes-ago self. i would sign him to a multi-year deal if the number was closer to clarkson's.

FWIW, they got an audience with Waiters and Hill. If we were offering multi-year deals, 1 of those guys would be with us.

They also kicked the tires with Bradley...

I'm not disagreeing on giving Pope the extra year, but if you're worried about the product, Pope isn't going to fix it either... The product is what it is at this point.

Reggie/Stanley for JC/Deng lol......deng replaces Morris as stretch 4, JC replaces reggie. I dont like Reggie but he might end up being more productive than Deng or JC, Stanley is our project now could work out could be a bust

eh, a sg who can shoot and defend could help us win a few more games. now, is kcp that guy? i don't know. he's a better shooter and defender than anyone we have now, though. sad but true.

Washington is going to match Porter.

Brooklyn will give the max to KCP.

I'm confused by the boston deal....pistons have to send out another player. The trade doesn't work in the trade machine...

Also, suck it C Bags. They finally made a bad deal.

i don't know about that. i think they'll offer lower. his standard stats look kinda meh. his advanced stats are better, though. i think someone will get him reasonably cheap. like what tim hardaway got.

He took about 50ish more there's than Lopez and made about 20ish more, but he shot 35% overall and Lopez shot 34.6% overall. He would probably be our best 3 and D guy by a good margin though assuming Nwaba still can't shoot a lick. I'm not anti-Pope at all I'm just saying there's no one on the market at this stage that'll give us more than a couple extra wins.
