Still very skeptical of Sacramento although I like the Hill add if he stays healthy. Rudolph and Carter aren't here to lead them into the great beyond.

I'm loving Miami's plan to spend 100+ million on James Johnson, Kelly Olynyk, and Dion Waiters.

yeah, i agree. but pop is so involved in their decisions, and he's worked with rudy with team usa, right? he must see something. but they're not always right. i think they're wrong this time. they better lock up simmons.

patty mills can score, but i think parker's done. we'll see.

A sneaky good pick-up for us would be Ian Clark.

i love anything that keeps riley off the FA market while we're on it.

i think hill's injuries will always be a problem, which is why i loved him on a one-year deal. i really like vc, too, but how many years can he go to the well? zbo may have already made his last trip. still, all guys who know how to win. sac needs that, imo.

I think/hope we have a $17 mil/1 year offer out to Miles. Makes no sense why we wouldn't be after him. Other than Hill, he's realistically the best fit of all the free agents we'd been linked to. Would be a great starting 2 next to Ball. Then Clarkson, Ennis, and Hart should be able to hold down the back-up guard positions by committee.

definitely. really surprised we weren't linked to him right away. luke should know him, he knows the system, and he has some talent. not star talent, but rotation player talent. i'll take it.

Yup, low risk-high reward. Put up pretty good numbers in limited playtime with Golden State last year. You'd have to think he's picked a few things up from the stars on that team and might be able to blow up (at least into a good rotation player) once he's actually given consistent minutes.

I'm holding out hope for either Ian Clark or CJ Miles because after that, it's washed up vets or guys that shouldn't even be playing in the league anymore.

I think we likely end up with frickin Rondo though. The FA guard market is drying up FAST.

Alternatively, I'd like to see us re-sign Ennis to a nice cheap deal. I think he can improve and even play next to Ball (he can shoot).

I just want guys like Derrick Rose and Rondo to get off the market as soon as possible because i know sooner or later, they're going to be linked to us again.

My only worry with signing CJ Miles is that PG13 hates him...lol

At this pt of the fa left, i dont think any make any significant impact....id rather hope magic/rob are calling around looking for expiring contracts to absorb into our cap with picks attached, dont know of any candidate so dont ask me :)

Yeah like I said if Clark or Miles are available for 1 year deals, you get one or both of them.

If not, I agree. We should be looking at salary dumps + picks from teams that are looking to create space to sign players right now.

I do love seeing every team blow their cap space though. Gives us a much better chance in free agency next year because one of the overlooked issues from the past free agencies where we gunned for stars was that we weren't the only team with cap space...nearly every team in the league had it. Next summer? Not so much. And I cannot wait.

may have missed that market. relatedly, really surprised portland didn't sell off players.

i'm still interested in mack and sefalosha as either low money long term (mack) or high money short-term (thabo). still bummed about teodosic.

Crazy that a bench big who averages 9 and 5 makes over 12 mil per year now. The market has reached crazy levels.

You cant put a price on a player like kelly, those arm bars, cheap picks and overall dirtyness can cause opposing players to go ape and get ejected by retaliating lol

36.5? With this roster? Taking the under on that all day.

On topic, like the suggestion of Ian Clark.

Yes and no... This situation with Houston is a win now mode with no future to hold on to. Look what happened to Brooklyn they traded their future away for a win now approach and now are stuck in mediocrity for many years to come. Our plan is much better ....we have assets, and young potential superstar talent plus going into next year with hopefully enough to sign one or two stars without mortgaging the future.

Ian Clark and Miles are probably looking for multi year deals. Unless we use 17m on one, I'd think they will be looking for 2-3 years somewhere.

Shame, I'd like to take a chance on Clark.
