Looks lackluster and poorly made. Production wise, looks like Powers that one Sony/Playstation show they tried.
He has nudes of the right people.....although in Hollywood, nudes probably aren't that big a deal. He probably has pictures of the right people snorting cocaine out of a hooker's butt.
I'm unfamiliar with their work, but I think it's cool that they're moving with this so fast. Jessica Jones is already being filmed as well and Daredevil is supposed to start before the end of the year.
I just can't see a scenario where Sony and Marvel don't continue this partnership past the second Spiderman standalone. Especially if Spiderman 2 is going to set up the MCU after the enormous Infinity War arc. Homecoming is getting fantastic reviews. I'm going to see it tonight. It's projected to make a TON of money for Sony.
Amy Pascal is playing a dangerous game. She thinks she's in control now because she sees the popularity of Spider-Man and how that's helped Marvel find another leg-up. She's going to pressure them now for more control and more opportunity. Part of me hopes Sony screws this up. Part of me hopes they try to make this Venom spin-off and the Black Cat/Silver Sable spin-off and it crashes and burns and Pascal is forced to crawl back on her knees and beg for help. I don't like greed and I don't like the way she and Sony are handling this. Marvel did them a favor as much as the other way around, she would do better to see that.
worst case scenario is a dead spider-man fueling the avengers fire coupled with mud all over sony's face.
That'd be a pretty epic way for Feige to forge onward. This Spider-Man is more closely based on the Ultimate Spider-Man who also dies in the comics. That could work. I would think they'd like more run out of Holland who by all accounts is fantastic, but this is a business first.
Imagine a dead Spiderman hanging lifeless in the arms of Cap or an enraged Hulk attempting to save him and failing leading to a further enraged Hulk... That could lead to some major moments
Oh for sure. You could spark an incredible amount of emotion. This is the youngest person in the hero world, still innocent and fresh in so many ways. If he died saving lives and the others couldn't stop it? That'd be crushing. It might be too crushing for Marvel actually.
Depends on what follows... If its a CGI fest Hulk rampage for the ages or a moving third act to a film where Cap leads the Avenges his death in a colossal way, it could be thoroughly satisfying
I certainly would be satisfied by it, but they're marketing Spidey towards kids... That'd be a rough day for kids. They could have done the same thing with Rhodey and they sort of wussed out with it in Civil War. Came close though.
Saw Spidey. It's really good. I'll wait until more people see it to start discussing. Make sure you wait until the end of the credits for possibly the best end credits scene in Marvel history.
I think we watched different end of credit scenes. But yes I loved it. I thought it was the best Spidey since Spider-Man 2. Easily in fact. It could be on par with Spider-Man 2 in my opinion.
