Any more word on Crawford getting bought out..?
I could see him taking a one year deal to stay in LA & figure his next move out.

Still surprised we haven't offered CJ Miles anything, shot 41% on 3's last year.

He's also statistically the worst defender at his position, possibly in the NBA.

    Hahaha touché!

But Roberson is an amazing defender - one of the best in the league. A 10 per year agreement is something akin to a 5m per year before the salary cap bump. He also pushed for 3 years instead of the 4 or 5 that OKC were looking at, in my mind that means he is backing himself to improve in time for a big contract for his prime. If he can become an above average 3pt shooter he'll earn a lot!

If he can develop a shot, he will make tons of money.

I'm fine with CJ Miles. I'd be okay with Shabazz. I'm okay with Rondo. I've been saying Afflalo since he was waived. Any of those work.

Anyone have a quick summary of Shabazz's game? Don't know much about it...

On the short list (say, top ten) worst defenders in the NBA. A catch and shoot player who can't hit the three consistently (except from the corner). Probably gets the bulk of his points moving to the basket without the ball (probably his best asset). Poor decision-maker, poor handles, poor passer.

good scorer, has improved his three point shot but is still more of a slasher, midrange type. can score in isolation some. as rodg indicated, he's known as a really poor defender and an unwilling passer.

    i think he's a terrible fit here.

willing passers and good shooters are necessary, isolation scoring is less necessary (nice to have one guy like this, i suppose, but you'd prefer it be a star, not a bench player).

for similar reasons, i don't like tyreke evans or rodney stuckey or monta ellis or jamal crawford. but the FO seems to believe the team needs someone like this, i guess?

Yeah, to be honest this is probably the only reason I'd say I'm interested in him lol. Don't know too much about him as a NBA player but I just remember all the hype surrounding him when he came to college so assumed he still has some potential.

But how many T'wolves games are you guys watching to have such a detailed breakdown of the flaws of one of their bench players?

I liked Shabazz coming into the NBA because he was clutch. I haven't watched much, just looked at stats and read Wolves boards.

Appreciate it guys, sounds like he should be one of the last options we look at.

Don't often see much about up and coming talent yet to reach college, but looks like this kid is gifted. It will be interesting to see if his development continues.

Do teams start angling for his draft class now? Will that affect free agency this year? I'd be looking at the possibility actually for some easy pickups, but as long as next year isn't compromised.

None here, just remembering the hype, and I think wasn't there some NCAA violation problem with his family's actions?

As down as I've been on Ball, if we don't get some reliable shooting, next to him, I feel bad. This isn't going to be a great year to judge him, IMO. There is going to be absolutely no spacing on the floor for him to work with; it sucks. Same goes for Ingram.

I'm okay with it if it nets you 2 Max Players - in 2018, but there is some skepticism on my part about that; though, I am reading the tea leaves and think we end up with 1 Max at the very least. There is a bunch of teams that have spent this summer, and we're going to be one of the teams with our pick of the litter in Free Agency next year in a big market and great location.

So, while I think this year has been quite depressing, and we'll be horrible to watch next season, I'll suffer through it because I'm pretty confident that we'll improve this team next year.

LaVar threaten no role for you in the Big Balls reality show if you didn't lighten up on the kid?
