Are we sure Waiters just followed them or had been following them. Can't tell.

Golden State drafted Curry in 2009. The Warriors won 26 games. It's been seven seasons since then. The Warriors have won 47+ games in the last four seasons, have averaged 69 regular season win the last three, and have two rings.

The Lakers won the finals that year, made the playoffs the next three seasons, and have won a total of 91 games over the last four. Opposite directions. And we couldn't bring in the studs for those three seasons.

I think a deal of Crowder/Smart/Brown/maybe a pick works beautifully for them. They still have Rozier, Tatum, and a bunch of future picks. The finances don't have to be perfect because both teams were at the time below the cap. There were ways to get it done, Ainge just is an idiot about all of his precious assets.
A lot changes in that time. Not to mention that would have given us a real star 8 months ago which changes everything about this upcoming summer. But it doesn't really matter what we would or wouldn't have done, the market is set right now and look what stars are going for. Boogie went for trash. Chris Paul went for trash. Jimmy Butler went for barely more than trash. Paul George went for nuclear waste. That's our market and our standard for what we should pay, so no we shouldn't have to give up Ingram when all Jimmy Butler gets you is an injured, ex-dunk champion.
I have no idea, but that wasn't my point. My point is if we end up putting Ingram or Ball or Zubac or whatever else on the table, that means something changed behind the scenes and it's more important for us to get George now than it was before. If OKC really wants to move George and he has no value anywhere but here, I think they'd take our package though. There's worse players to try to build with than Randle. Otto Porter just got a max offer sheet. I'd much rather be paying Randle than Porter or Fournier or Turner or Crabbe or Lavine, etc. Clarkson is sort of what he is going to be, but give them Randle, Kuzma, Clarkson, and Bryant. Four decent young guys to build around that we don't need.

Wow that is sad. But in a pathetic way, because I hate Utah.

If he goes to NY they probably offered him good money. I have to question anyone's judgement who chooses to go to the Knicks though. Not because we are better than them or something, but because of Dolan. They will never win with Dolan, he is like Sterling with the Clippers.

Ya, but he's miles below in the brain capacity. Plus, Waiters is going to get a multi year deal.

I think you're over selling Crawford IQ then, he's an inefficient chucker now, just doesn't realize he is, and yes Waiters is playing us for a multi yr deal, pretty much just bout everyone is except the undesirable like Rondo lol

Seems to me like we're going to end up with Rondo so I'm trying to get used to the idea. I didn't realize Afflalo was still available though, I'd gladly sign him for a year. Same with CJ Miles. Here's a Rondo highlight reel to make you feel better if we do sign him though. He can really pass.

I don't like Rondo, but he's still a half-way decent basketball player. Even his shooting numbers in the last couple of months weren't bad. If we signed him it's not as bad as everyone thinks as long as he plays nice with the staff... The fact that the Lakers are hesitant on him says kind of a lot to me. There's very few options for them and yet they aren't eager to make that leap.

For what it's worth, Ramona on ESPN710 this morning said we came very close to getting Hill. She said Sacramento scooped in there at the last minute and threw big money at him when no one else would.

If you're looking for FA rim protection, there are lots of options that won't cost much and won't require a trade.

Gotcha - won't require an unfavorable trade. Some of these guys could probably be gotten for minimum, by the way. Boston is in excellent shape right now. :(

    They do...I think.

This site has him and Tatum already listed.

    http://en.hispanosnba.com/salaries/teams/boston-C Bags

Basketball Insiders has only 61 million in guaranteed salaries listed.

I think they are looking to move some parts in order to allow some breathing room at the wing positions. Right now they have very few bigs on the roster.

No thank you. He will start the season spending 5 games in a suit no matter where he goes by the way, violated the anti-drug policy.
