Looks like we have no choice but I can’t see him taking a one year either.

We could do worse than Ennis as a very cheap backup or 3rd string PG, he finished last season pretty solid.

We'll see how George and Randolph look for them. Randolph is a dinosaur at this point and interestingly, I've heard George's contract is an option on the 3rd year (I'm assuming team). I guess teams really are scared of his injury history. It could be that the Kings just made a similar move to what we did last summer. Not to mention, the Kings supposedly think Buddy HIeld is Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined and they just drafted Fox. They have even less room than us for George. Who loses minutes? Interesting dilemma going forward.

I'm going to trust Tania more than Jordan on this by a wide margin.

I'm sure Rondo is there as a fall back, but I'd prefer Waiters and/or a salary dump with a pick.

Good news is many teams are offering loads of multiple years and money to be good TODAY but still be capped out for next year. If we can somehow get rid of deng this year we can be the best place with the most cap space for next year's super free agency period

Yep. Knew this was coming. I won't complain as long as Paul George is wearing a Los Angeles Lakers uniform a year from today and/or LeBron James.

I just meant I thought they added some solid vets to a really good draft day. IMO they drafted 3 of the best players in the draft with Fox, Jackson, and Giles. Add in Hield, Skal and WCS, then the signings of Hill and and Randolph and it's a solid mix. I don't think they will be good, but it's a nice mix of youth to build with and now some quality veterans. Randolph may be a dinosaur, but I don't think he's Deng, I think he at least plays hard and has pride.

Rondo is terrible , we should be ashamed of just considering him ( bad early signs for this management)

At least Waiters bought into Spo system and was an useful driver and willing passer (at times).

Seems like signing a decent NBA player who will help in some areas is too much to ask from the Lakers these days .

But yeah a 20 wins teams is going to sign George and Lebron next summer !

Rondo isn't a terrible player. He's still a good player in this league.

He's just not an ideal fit, but when you're only offering one year deals options are going to be limited.

that's my worry about signing big name FA's next summer

sure, we may have tons of cap space but why are we totally convinced that guys like PG will want to come to a team that struggled to win 20 games? we haven't been able to land a big FA in years. if this coming season proved that this team is "up and coming" then i'd feel good about our luck changing. but this team is going to be awful this season

how can you convince guys like PG (or lebron as much as i hate to say it) that they should sign with the lakers?
