Sounds like it. I think Iggy goes back to GS anyway.

So does iggy take a 3 year 45 mil contract in GS or a 2 year 50 mil contract elsewhere?

Makes me upset that we didn't frontload Mozgov/Deng and get them for shorter contracts....

I keep thinking if Brewer has trade value as he's only making 7.6 million.

Except for Parker, I wonder who else has an expiring contract of 20 mill or less. Would y'all trade Brewer and Clark for Parker and 3 unprotected firsts?

sooo...why not see if nick young will take a 1-year, 17 million dollar offer to stay? team would retain his bird rights if they put a team option on the second year, right?

however dallas keeps working it with dirk, the lakers should do that with young, is my point. it's possible that if things go well, they could keep him after adding big name FAs next year.

Since they contacted Rondo, I guess we could say that the priority is shooting, but not necessarily making shots.

You get rid of Dlo to get Rondo and you look like a buffoon. No way, come on.

I'm not completely against Rondo. First off, Luke is a player's coach, so I don't really see any conflict there. Secondly, you want Zo to be the leader and hand him the keys, but let him earn it too. Lastly, Zo's going to have to battle Rondo in practice and I'm sure will pick up defensive elements and principles in the process.

Kobe Bryant was bullish and pushed his teammates to the limit at times, but there are different ways to lead. I think Rondo has gotten endorsements from the Mamba and just has the old-school mentality to him that I love. Comparing Dlo's mentality to Rondo's is like comparing sour apples to oranges.

Rondo on a make good 1 year deal (not fully guaranteed) is something I wouldn't mind in the least. There's no doubt we need shooting, but I just want some dogs on defense for once. Its been a minute.

If we did that, I think Nick's cap hold would be enormous so his Bird rights don't matter much to me, but I'd be on board giving him a nice deal for a year. We need the shooting, he'd get first look at that starting spot, and he could parlay it into a decent long-term deal if he played well.

Roughly 27M without the 3 first round rookie cap holds and waiving Tarik.

So I would approximate about 20M

I'm going to rock with you on this one. 1-year deal, who if head is right, might add to the win column.
