    i mean, if he's down with being a 20 and 10 guy on a crappy team then sure, i could see him re-signing for a year just to get his value back up after he comes back from injury

    but i don't think he wants to play for a crappy team

    I think Griffin would love to be the man on this team, get paid a max contract to stay in LA, and be semi-competitive in a 10-7 seed sort of way. With Paul out of the picture, it's his team now. I think Griffin and his ego would love that.

    I would still hope Hayward leaves Utah for FA, just not to Bos. Utah is another team we'd have to hurtle, w/o Hayward, Utah is middle of the pack team, same as Den and possibly the clipps. I dont know how mem keeps winning with their cast of injury prone players but at least with Den/Minn surging, IF we do manage to get PG I think Hayward out of Utah and Clipps with no cp3 would give us a better shot at playoffs.

    this is what I dont get in regards to Mia, yes they have a better record than us but was still a non playoff team but yet they are pursing and getting a meeting with Hayward and yet we can't or wont?

    Miami was one of the best teams in the league the second half of the season. They did that with Whiteside and who else? After a slow start, I'm pretty sure they finished the season on a 31-10 run. I can definitely see why a Hayward or Griffin would go down to South Beach.

    Okay, but we have made it clear that we are preserving cap space for next summer. Also the second part of what I said, he's only interested in those places. And Miami wasn't a playoff team but they are much better than us at the moment.
