Movie reference. It's the movies thread, I'm gonna throw them out there, my mind is like a steel trap of useless movie and tv quotes.
Totally got the reference, just that he says "They have what?" before "Boy,....." Just saw Napoleon Dynamite again recently.
I just want the Transformers movies to stop. I feel dirty living in a world where Michael Bay makes millions upon millions of dollars making movies like Transformers. If Bay makes money off of Pain and Gain or movies like that, sure. But spending money on a Transformers ticket kind of comes with an ethical dilemma.
So you're just a little unethical. If you bring a family of six to see it in IMAX 3D, that's akin to manslaughter.
Because of the reviews I'll check it out but I thought the trailer started off great and then became this guy wanting to leave with this girl but his boss/crew won't stand for this and I feel like I've seen this before. Overall:
The image you posted isn't showing up, so I don't know what comparison you're making, but this is an Edgar Wright movie, so it definitely won't be standard or what you've seen before. Scott Pilgrim is one of my favorite movies of all time, and there is nothing else like it out there.
I watched Baby Driver last night with my wife, it's fantastic. Utterly fantastic. My wife and I almost went back to another showing that night.
Ok, I don't know enough about these directors/producers but I believe the reviews and I trust you guys so I'll check it out.
Just got finished seeing Baby Driver. I give it a solid 4 out of 5. Some great chase scenes and some great dialog. Stylish movie with an amazing soundtrack. I can't imagine anyone watching it and being bored or walking away disappointed.
I saw Baby Driver as well. Very, very good movie. Please go out and see it so we can continue to get movies like it as opposed to Marvel/DC/Star Wars over and over and over. I have nothing against those movies, but we need to support great films that aren't major franchises so we continue to get them. This franchise saturation is partly our fault too.
Just saw "The Big Sick" it's sort of a dramedy about Kumail Nanjiani. It's really good. It might be the most genuine movie I've seen in a while.
Just watched War for the Planet of the Apes and man, this whole series has been so surprisingly good. Not so much a war though, more like a battle. Wish this franchise was as popular as the comic book movies. I do wonder if they will connect this with the old series.
