    I think if we really wanted him we'd try to free up the room. If Paul George was a free agent right now we'd move heaven and earth to free up the room. JC would be gone for a 2nd rounder as one example. I really think our new FO doesn't give a crap about 2nd tier guys, same as Mitch didn't give a crap about Isaiah Thomas. Magic wants the stars of stars, he wants showtime back. I'm not against it, it just had better work this time.

    True, it's a good point. I'm a little curious what's happening behind closed doors right now. The Lakers have gone completely radio silent.

    Part of me thinks they're gearing up for a move that'd make us look more serious. Right now, we're still an outside threat with lots to prove. If we could flip Clarkson/Randle into a solid player, a Hayward type, maybe the narrative changes completely. No we don't trade for George, but we give him a full on landing strip along with someone else to join us.

    Or maybe they're just looking to take advantage of teams in FA who are shooting for Hayward. We can pull another couple of picks out of Houston.
