I could see it happening. Not as a favor. Just transparency during trade negotiations for their mutual benefit.

Tatum is secretly a guy the C Bags like a lot. I've seen a handful of Tatum articles today. I hear he'll be their pick with or without Jackson on the board.

Then Jackson angle could still be to our advantage with Sac or Pho

Phoenix is rumored to want Ball. Why wouldn't we take Ball? Sacramento is apparently (and has been all along) high on Fox.

I think there's nothing really of intrigue left in the draft as far as the top goes. It should be Fultz/Ball/Jackson or Tatum. If the Lakers take Jackson, I'll be disappointed but not terribly. I think it'd be a mistake, especially with Paul George on the way, but oh well. Boston would take Tatum and Phoenix would take Ball happily and Sacramento would take Fox happily.

Wasn't there a tweet that sac/pho gave Jackson a "promise"?

The only sure thing pick that's been promised has been fultz to the sixers. That's why I'm baffled that magic hasn't just said straight up that we are drafting Ball/Jackson yet we're not getting fultz

    I'm not sold on Tatum.

He's not that elite of a scorer to garner a top 5 pick imo. He reminds me a lot of what Derrick Williams was in college. A lot of skills, low athleticism, and only a one way player.

At least with Jackson, you have upside on both ends of the floor with his athleticism and activity level. Same goes for Fox.

I also prefer Monk's dynamic athleticism at his size.

Still think Ball fits what we are trying to do too well to pass up.

I'm actually really glad you brought up his teammates being horrible, because no one ever mentions that fact... I argue that Fultz's numbers could potentially be inflated due to being the only talented player on that squad; whereas with Lonzo, he had all his stats in addition to inflating the stats of those around him.

Yes, we probably tried to trade up for Fultz, but they didn't go for it. Moving forward, we shouldn't feel tremendous pressure to make a move before draft day because Lonzo is still a great option (and will certainly fill the stands like we haven't seen as of late).

Still hoping we can dump mozdeng...

I know I'm late, but I agree with this on Fultz. I liked him at first but soured as the losses piled up. It's really hard for me to believe a guy who couldn't win at all is going to suddenly lead an NBA team to wins. I don't think he's necessarily going to be a bust, but I'm not sold on him to be honest.

I've also thought that Fultz might have just been putting up big numbers on a bad team. That said, there were other solid 4 star guys on that team. The fact that he didn't make anyone better also jumps out at me.

I don't remember any other draft pick doing this many national interviews, commercials, and home videos. I don't say that in a good way.

C'mon bro, work on your conditioning and game and get picked by the Lakers. Win and then you can make all the commercials you want.

it's not like he's the one that is responsible for this new level of fame he's reached, that's all lavar's doing

he's been thrown into the spotlight and is dealing with it pretty well for someone his age. to date, can't remember him saying or doing anything stupid
