A Butler trade wouldn't make sense unless we have George here. Butler by himself here is not going to do much (see the Bulls)

Otherwise, we sit tight, and let the young kids grow together until the super teams die off and it's their turn.

Unfortunate, but that's the better play here than mortgaging our future for a team that would barely compete against the Curry or Lebron teams. Hell, Houston and San Antonio would still be tough matchups.

Figured you'd come correct at some point.

I really wish Jackson nailed the 2nd workout in Los Angeles.

Woj had a podcast; said 2 of the GMs in the top 6 think that Jackson is the best talent in the draft.

His handle or lack thereof with his suspect jumper; ugh! Givony reported the workout didn't go so well....

Wonder if Paul George made this known now so the Lakers don't draft Jackson...

My understanding is that he didn't want the Pacers to plan on him sticking around after that interview from a couple days ago.

@therealdeal, what's the story with Collins. I missed your synopsis on him.

The minutes he played and some of the competition he played are legitimate question marks, but his numbers are off the charts. He could be this year's Porzingis. I mentioned this previous - he's the only player I'd draft significantly higher than he's being mocked right now. I'd take him sixth without hesitation and maybe higher.

Btw, if we traded to get 5 and 10 and drafted him and a guard, I'd be amazingly pumped.

I like him a lot actually. He caught my attention early in the year. He's a big kid with solid athleticism. He's a little thin, but has a good frame to build on. My favorite thing is he'll mix up down low and still space the floor too. I posted in the #28 thread but I would be very interested in him if we traded down.

I am starting to feel that Mag and Ainge have already discussed that the Lakers are not taking JJ number 2. Draft stays the same just the swap. Fultz, Ball, JJ.

Should we hold JJ hostage for our 2018 pick?

Lol. Boston wouldn't be that dumb.

As great as Magic was the most valuable parts of his game were leadership and pace. He demanded people play hard and he always kept the other team scrambling trying to keep up. Lots of teams run out of control. The good ones have that constant pace that is leaves team scrambling but doesn't constantly turn the ball over. Ball doesn't have to dominate personally or with stats. He needs to bring leadership and pace to an already talented team. He will make every player better. Promote team first attitude. If he wants to do all that other stuff too.. great..lol.

It's not like Jackson is okafor, there's still a lot of contingents who believe Jackson could be the most talented of all the top 5 if his shot is more consistent
