    No it wasn't.

Any GM in the league would've made that deal.

Dwight Howard was the best big man in the league at that time.

Easy to look back years later and say it was a bad deal.

Teams were upset and thought they'd be handing the Lakers a trophy.

    Howard
    Pau
    Artest
    Kobe
    Nash

Seemed like a superteam if everyone stayed healthy. It was a bold move to help make the most of Kobe's final years. Just didn't work out.

Yeah I don't see him guarding 4s... even stretch fours. He's tall for a PG, but he's still thin and even when he fills out he's going to be a thinner guy. I could see him guarding 1-3 in time, but he may even struggle with the strength of 3s in the NBA when he fills out.

Starts? Only if he's finished saving the whales, sorting out world peace, and handling the true GM duties.

    LOL! That's funny.

You know if he's handling the GM duties he'd pick Fultz at 1...:)

    yeah no doubt

    but instead we got:

howard coming off back surgery and didn't want to be in LA in the first place

nash pushing 40 and was done after that injury in the first few games

one crappy HC replaced by another crappy HC whose system was the worst possible fit for the lineup, not to mention his misuse of guys like pau and jamison

kobe run into the ground. still think he would have been playing today if d'antoni hadn't mismanaged his minutes down the stretch

Dude you can't be serious...it was ALWAYS going to be Fultz #1 no matter who was making the pick

Barring injury I do. I think he fits in well with the young group and brings much needed spacing to that lineup. Even if Randle and Ingram improve significantly they're at what 33%? Not good enough...

Replace that with what would've been CP3, it would've.
