I have been feeling the Blake to C Bags thing for the past few weeks. Dare I say it - the Lebron and Wade to Clippers in 2018 with CP3 sounds more likely now that Bron Bron lost the finals. Would Clippers trade their way into Top 10 to try and add a piece/

Crazy world out there. Clippers moving to Inglewood....

Correct. They want to go out and get the player they want. Whether that is Fultz remains to be seen but Embiid Tweet suggests this is all locked up.

That is a strange comparison. I won't say wrong I'm just having trouble figuring it out. Roy isn't a bad comparison. I've been saying a more athletic D'Angelo Russell. Draftexpress compared him to both Roy and Russell as well as Wade and Harden.

Revisionist history. Golden State wanted him real bad. We felt we swooped them and they ended up with two championships - 1 without a center.

Wade was a stud at Marquette. I don't see that in Fultz. D'Russ was a shooter in College - I see those comparisons but Fultz has more glide to his game and knows 'pace,' something Russell is still learning. As for the "The Truth" - I see the killer instinct in Fultz. That is probably how he 'killed it' in 2 on 2 in 'wowing' lakers. He has that.

In reading Bill Simmons book, he talks about 'the secret.' I think Lonzo knows it. That is not a board game from the 1980s and is much more like something that led UCLA to all those championships back in the 1960's and 70's. Magic knew it. He called it 'winning time.'

    Peace.

Agree. How many folks who are Anti-Ball wanted Lakers to draft Marcus Smart over Julius?

Realy don't get the Fultz hype. Is he good, yes. Is he KAT, AD good to trade a great no.2 pick (Ball) and other assets for him? Hell to the no.

We better not be terrible this season ( it might not matter if the Greens trade it before) ... C-bags getting both the Nets pick and ours in 18 i.e another top 2- 5 would be a disaster .

Trading for Steve Crap could end up helping the C-Bags making a blockbuster trade :Kobepuking::Kobepuking:

He's 19. I said with training. Training = time. Time = growth. Might grow a little? Obviously, at the top of the range (4) I don't mean a Kawhi defender. Switching, top of the range would be smaller 4's. Later, who knows. He's 19 and 2 years younger than when Kidd started. It's a different league now too. My money is on him getting bigger. A bit early to start cutting down realistic possible achievements for the kid imo. Especially one he has already named as real for himself. Lonzo just said he can guard 1-4 in the NBA now. At least we know where his confidence is at.

For all we know offered number 2 and number 28 for Fultz. Might've liked Fultz just a bit more that we took a shot in getting the number 1 pick. We won't know the extent of it until we hear the terms we offered (which we probably won't).

See I'm not sure he does. I've watched a lot of his Washington games and he really has a problem leaving an imprint on the win column. He'll show off some great move, but when you look up his team is still losing. Now part of that is unfair because his teammates at Washington were horrible, but 9 wins is still 9 wins. It must be taken into account when you evaluate the kid, especially when in his interview with the Lakers he said that focus was a problem of his. To me that's a serious problem. We've got kids with focus issues and it's lost us a lot of games the last couple years.

With the comparisons: I don't see killer instinct necessarily in Fultz, but I do see the varied and choppy way that Pierce played offensively. Pierce was great at scoring creatively even if he wasn't the fastest, most explosive, or in the best shape. Fultz does a great job of scoring at different angles and finding his areas on the floor. I can definitely see that as the comparison. DraftExpress's comparison to Wade was in their ability to get to the rim and knockdown mid-range shots. DE was adamant that Fultz lacked almost all of Wade's defensive intensity and again the winning is a factor. Fultz and Russell do have similar offensive games though whereas Russell is a little more about trickery and finding a sliver of space to pull-up for the jumper, Fultz is more athletic and capable of getting to the bucket in traffic or using his advanced footwork to pull-up over the defense.

Not revisionist at all.... I was excited about the trade BUT I also saw that he wouldn't work out by January and over at leftistgriund I even started a thread calling it the "Purple Elephant in the Room"... saying the Lakers need to trade Howard at the trade deadline.

Wait, so Ball can guard the 4 now? What can't he do?

Maybe he meant guarding Deng in practice when he's playing the 4
