I don't think Monk carries the upside of either of the top 4 players for consideration.

We just traded Malik Monk for Houston's #28 pick.

So sort of a reverse of what they did with Jackson, but notable that no other kids have gotten this treatment. Fox did have lunch at least though.

    gold.

i think of monk as a more athletic redick. and that player certainly has a place in this league. but he's a 6-10 prospect.

a guy i'm surprised isn't generating more buzz is isaac. crazy high upside there. i buy the narrative that he was underused at fsu. if someone took him super high (like top 3), i wouldn't be shocked. it would be like when aaron gordon went 4th. high risk, high reward.

re: lillard: he played college ball in utah, folks. his interest in the lakers (as opposed to gs, which is closer to his hometown) is more interesting.

and yes, i'll have some, plz. he was recently trying to recruit george to portland...

The only reason I'm posting this is that Shams/Woj/Vertical confirm that Ball hasn't worked out for any other team. They've pushed their chips all in on the Lakers.

I like Isaac a LOT. He's got some tremendous versatility and some tremendous tools. They call him a 3/4 because of his agility on the perimeter, but I think he's more of a 4/5 in the NBA. Still, I think eventually he has the potential to switch defensively 3/4/5 and close out on 1/2s on the three point line. The kid has some great stuff.

The problems: I think he disappears at times. He loses aggressiveness. His jumper is a work in progress. Like Jackson he's got a slender frame so I think his strength has a cap on it as far as banging down low.

I have him as the absolute perfect marriage (as far as this draft is concerned) with Minnesota. He and Towns together could be a damn dangerous young combo.

i think he's a 3, and only a 3, like ingram. and i think he has ingram-like potential. i don't see him slipping past minny, either. but stranger things have happened. i just feel like i haven't heard his name.

We'll see. I think Ingram is a 4 (at least part time) eventually too so we're not too far from each other. Isaac may be a victim of his college not focusing on him, but I think it's more likely that he just needs more seasoning. We'll see.

Does Lonzo having a decent amount of acne mean he's still going through puberty some and will have a chance to hit 6'8?

It's not out of the question.

When Pippen was brought up as a comparison for Jackson, I found out Scottie came out of HS at 6'1, and grew 7 inches, in the three years he was in college.

I had a friend who did the same thing. Went from 5'6 to 6'3 while in college.

From a Dallas guy that is pretty much locked in to the Cowboys and Mavs. I follow him for Cowboys news/info and he's almost always reporting first on Cowboys news.

Grain of salt since he's reporting on another team, but another source calling the smokescreen.
