Talk about choking a game away. Only getting field goals in the 1st half, giving up the special teams fake FG, failed onside kick recovery. You can't do that vs. a team like Seattle. They will eventually make plays and boy that last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter showed why the are the Champs and going back to the Super Bowl.

The Packers... 5 and change left with a 12 point lead. Like their coach said "unbelievable!" Props to Wilson who made the plays when he had to.

This. Completely ridiculous the way they handled the game down the stretch. Unforgivable. The OC needs to be fired and Bostick needs to find a new home outside the NFL. Garbage.

GB was too passive on offense. 4th and 1 and kept kicking FGs. If you can't get a yard, you don't deserve to win.

Lot of blame to go around.

    Sheesh, I hate Seattle.

That too. Twice you go to 4th and Goal and kick it both times? Grow some. Get into the end-zone. You've got a 25 year old workhorse RB. If he can't get you a yard, you've got problems.

    My key matchups and points:

    - Wilfork and Ninkovich playing the run against Lynch.
    - The mobile Collins and Chandler Jones looking to contain Wilson.
    - Reavis and Browner against Baldwin and Kearse.
    - Blount running on Chancellor and Thomas.
    - Gronkowski covered by whoever Seahawk DB or LB.
    - Will Belichick continue the Saban strategy of using eligible tackles as receivers as ploys against the Seattle D?
    - how many QB sneaks on third and inches will Brady attempt?

Seattle X-Factors: Offense: TE Luke Wilson, Defense: LB Bobby Wagner
New England X-Factors: Offense: WR Julian Edelman, Defense: LB Jamie Collins

The Pre-Game Hype Stories we all can see coming:
    - comparisons of Carroll and Belichick...one cheerful, fun and a players coach while the other is dour, rigid with the personality of a couch.
    - is this Lynch's final season with Seattle?
    - the Richard Sherman and Darelle Reavis debate: who is the better cornerback?
    - the "we weren't supposed to be here, ya'll doubted us" Disrespect Card goes to Seattle.

Early prediction: Seattle by four... Wilson isn't your prototype QB but the kid has some serious moxie.

Sherman with one arm? They still stayed away from him... Really? I agree that for whatever reason, Green Bay decided to run the clock with Lacy. They had success early on but the Seahawks on desperation loaded the box daring Rodgers to throw. On those short yardage situations, I guess McCarthy figured points will be hard to come by so he took what he could get. Lack of creativity on his part.

On that onside kick, Bostick should have let Jordy Nelson who was right behind him catch the ball. Instead he ended up with his own Jackie Smith moment.

Arrggghh!! I was like a lot of Seattle fans and gave up when Green Bay intercepted with like 5 minutes left. Turned it off and missed the comeback. Didn't much care either way but was kinda pulling for Seattle.

I hate Seattle now that Tate's off the team, so I'll be rooting for Brady.

BTW, looking back at that post given Sagarin's rankings...

Six of the lowest seven playoff teams were the first eliminated.
    Then #7 - Dallas - out.
    Then #3 - Denver - out.
    Then #4 - GB - out.
    Then #5 - Indy - out.

    That leaves #1 and #2.

We're about to find out which form of cheating is most effective: flat footballs and video or steroids and Adderall.

I'm pulling for New England all the way. I liked their defense back in the Bruschi and Seau days. Who can't at least respect Tom Brady?

Seattle doesn't belong in the Superbowl this year. It should have been Green Bay if things didn't miraculously lineup for Seattle. Inexplicable slide on the interception. Running the ball completely ineffectively with five minutes left. Terrible defense. Ball to the helmet of Bostick. Terrible defense again. Terrible defense in OT.

Up until the last five minutes of the game and OT, Seattle was completely dominated by Green Bay. This was their game and they lost it. Brady and Belichick won't let that happen to them.

    Patriots -35
    Seattle -17

Well...I really don't care for either team but I wouldn't mind seeing New England win it. Seattle [save Russell Wilson] is an obnoxious group.

I'm in the minority here. I like Seattle and will be pulling for them.

It will be impressive if they dominate Manning and Brady in back to back Super Bowls.

Isn't NE like a Boston football team? Makes me wanna root for Seattle ;).
I just saw the game... and WOW. Don't know much about football but im sure a semi-pro euro team could hold on to that lead.

So the Pats have been proven to be... the Pats. 11 of 12 footballs under-inflated by 2 psi.

I hate Seattle, but I'll be rooting for them. I really, really hate them.

I'd skip the SuperBowl if I wasn't such a football fan.

Why do the Pats keep doing this crap?

Makes you wonder about the stuff they got away with. You don't get caught 100% of the time.

On some level I'm impressed with the way they've continued to cheat, get caught sporadically, and STILL the NFL lets them continue to be who they are. To me, this falls on the NFL to fix.

    Fool me once...
