Yeah. Just happened to catch some sports talk on the way home from work on Friday and he had a segment on the draft. Basically backed up talk that we aren't 100% on Ball yet and that the workout was just okay. Went as far to say that we cut the workout short because of Ball's conditioning. Also said we like Josh Jackson's fire (paraphrasing a bit since this was Friday afternoon and I'm trying to remember all of it). I'll try to find some audio on it when I get it minute.

With Magic making such a point of our guys being out of shape, needing to get body fat down, etc, I'm honestly not sure about that. But we'll see. I expect us to take Ball, but I don't think this was good either.

There is a legitimate possibility we draft Jackson.

    Just sayin...

Honestly, I'm staying away from all the internet on the 22nd. It ruins the suspense with reports from these clickbait loser reporters.

I'll show up here after Ball is drafted and enjoy talking summer league.

A 2 guard who can't shoot in today's NBA? I don't see how that guy will translate in the NBA. Looks like Corey Brewer 2.0 to me.

Here's my personal draft picks 1-5 that I like:

#1 Ball (perfect fit for us, passing savant)
#2 Fultz (offensive talent, 3 level scorer)
#3 Jackson (athletic wing, 2 way player)
#4 Fox (plays with heart, speed, breaks down defense)
#5 Tatum (Versatile wing, iso scorer)

Have not read. Gut reaction .... LOL .... he just couldn't do it could he? Keep his ridiculous big yap shut. So now he whether true or not is dissing current roster players on the Lakers. How f****** dumb are you LaVar? The Lakers say the right things in contrast to you, that they aren't worried about you in the least, you're not a problem. But why in hell would you chance that when it is crunch time as to whether or not they even pick your kid? Creating bad vibes for him with teammates before he even gets to the team, if he in fact does get to the team? I hate this guy.

    i said it before:

    ball: okafor; jackson: russell.

can totally see this coming. fanbase revolts and then is ultimately relieved.

although i really think i'm still on team "trade down". i want 5 and 10, with 10 being moved to address other needs.

    ElginTheGreat said:
I heard about his conditioning on the radio too but figured folks would shoot it down because it was on Doug Gotlieb's show.

And LaVar's out running his mouth about the Lakers roster and lack of leadership, whether true or not. Why has he not insisted and drilled into Lonzo to be in tip top condition coming in for his workout? How long since UCLA got bounced from the tournament? Jahlil Okafor says hello as to what can happen there. Maybe there was not enough time for conditioning with all the videos and s*** needing to be done to hype his stupid shoe and brand launch? Yeah OK Lonzo why are you not in better shape if this is true?

i'm not going to read into it (or even accept it as fact). i'm just reading tea leaves, and i think the lakers want the fanbase prepared for the possibility they don't draft ball. smoke indicating fire.

He's not close to overweight. But if they ran him hard doing drills he could have been winded too quickly. His last game was a while back, and if he hasn't been playing full court pick up, or working hard on his cardio it would show up during hard drills. I'm not thrilled to hear it.

No and really why would he not have been prepared for that, seriously. That final drill with for him what especially they were going to want to see .... the fast break and pull up shooting drills at the end of workouts ..... have been shown on their site for 2 weeks now. And like every other fan that follows the Lakers he and his old man have to have heard Magic's edict about the team being in shape.

What have we seen however from the family. Well 2 long marketing videos put together for the Brand and his shoe. He may still get picked but this is on LaVar and Lonzo both if Lakers don't take him. Wow reminds of Okafor with over confidence. Could be second workout as well . Better be looking good.

Where there's smoke do we have a fire or just the proverbial smokescreen?

It's funny how every player so far that's either fultz, Jackson, Dennis, or Fox has impressed or heard a report coming out of Lakers brass that he was great etc, but when it comes to Ball there's negative remarks about him.... Hmmmm it really sounds like a smokescreen. They really don't want the C Bags to draft Ball. I'm calling it now Ball will be a Laker
