Is that somehow taken to be pro-Ball information? I don't understand.

Yes. In a sense; Russell was underwhelming in workouts in 2015 according to reports, but to the contrary, the Lakers were impressed in his workout; so much so, they invited him back to see how he did in 3-on-3 workouts. It could be the same for Ball or maybe it's a way of getting him back to see him in more workouts in a team environment.

Personally, I think it's all a smokescreen...but I do think it's between Jackson and Ball. Jackson for all his weaknesses; plays the type of style that Luke wants to emphasize. I like Jackson a lot. I'm not mad if we draft him...trust me.

i think it's ball or jackson, unless fultz drops, in which case they'll grab him without hesitation, imo.

jackson may be russell to ball's okafor and fultz's towns.

Jump for joy w/Fultz. Jackson is a gamer, though. I seen it; he has a competitive edge to him. Him and Ingram guarding the wings....oh, boy!

I can go for that, but doesn't make PG13 sense.

Those three lock down the 2-3-4, alternating depending upon matchups. Possible.

PG13 - makes sense in this sense - he allows the young guys to grow and takes pressure off our young team. It also makes us more competitive in the short-term. I'm not worried about positions or minutes per game. Forget that. If we're stacked with talent at each position, that's a quality problem. I'd rather figure that out then watching basketball end in April.

Yep. Positional Versatility. And all 3 can potentially "lock down" their positions.

    Also guys will need breathers.

Josh Jackson probably is the best day one starter and would make the most impact on this team.

What would Russels trade value be if we traded him for a pick(s).

Also, How does Fultz compare to Russel coming out..pretty much same players but Fultz scored a lil more and Russ was the better passer right?

Why would you trade an upcoming 3rd year player for unknowns in draft picks? You include him in a deal for an established player IF you have to trade him.

I wouldn't trade Russell straight up for anyone in the draft, and I'm not even sure I'd trade him for the top two picks in the draft.

That's true. I think Russell has the talent to get there, but Kyrie worked harder than all hell on his handle to get where it is now. I don't know that Russell is focused enough in general or focused enough on his handle anyway to get to that point... We'll see. Of our options those are the two closest unless Randle has a favorable match-up. I still remember Randle going one-on-one against Luol Deng in 2015 for the game winner.

As for your other post, I think you're right on. What do the Lakers have to gain by leaving that workout and saying, "It was the single greatest workout we've had in years. It was the best looking a prospect has been since Kobe Bryant." Nothing. They gain nothing that way. This way there's at least muddy water. It's possible that Josh Jackson is the guy. It's also possible that they just don't want people freaking out about Lonzo which is what I said which lead to some eye rolling.

Oh well. We'll see. If we go with Jackson, I'm not too upset. I know some people hate him, but I could see a lineup of Ingram/Russell/Jackson/Randle/Mozgov having some success defensively. It'd be a major work in progress offensively, but that's okay. We've got time.
