I don't disagree. I don't hate the man, but he's definitely misguided in some ways. I think it's easy to see he's not perfect, but let's not discount that he's got three sons with a chance to be professional ball players. A couple of them are going to be really good. He could be such a worse father and such a worse human being. I think that's sort of lost in the shuffle of just how Trump-ian Lavar Ball is.

Nice little interview. Interesting to hear the tidbits from his conversations with Magic. I know we're not "sold" on him, but I think all signs are still pointing in his direction. Best fit, brings star power and attention, and he seems like a good kid.

Video is worth watching. Metta is very thoughtful, and Eddie House is ALL in on Ball. House thinks Ball is the best player in the draft.

Just to be clear. I don't hate him. I don't even dislike him as a person. But I cringe when he opens his mouth.

I like Ball but part of me truly wants to see the look on Lavar's face/emotion if the Lakers don't pick him........priceless :Laugh:

Only if the pick is a bust n ball is truly magic, however if the pick is as equally good if not better than ball, nobody will care

Ball still far and away the best choice to allow and encourage the offense to run and function at the pace with constant ball movement that Magic and Luke want to play .... of any of the top picks. And his style of play does not come around very often at all. See comparisons, if they have to be made, to Kidd and to Magic himself. That cadence of the offense is extremely important obviously to what they want to do. No one else close.

To those who are open to Jimmy B... Josh J can become possibly that two way player we'd need next to Ingram. If Paul George comes then bring Jackson off the bench and go small quick with Ingram at the 4.

Is Josh J able to hang with Klay after the all star break in his rookie season?

I think it has to be taken under serious consideration Spurs were up 23 after the start of the second half in GSW' house until Kawhi got hurt.

He also still hung on "Russell broke the code" s***, so his opinion is as valuable as a dried out turd.

I agree with you about the "code" but it would not surprise me a bit if a lot of players looked at it like House does.

We don't want to hear it because he is our guy, but Eddie House is pretty legit. He has a point and there are many who think that. Only way to get by it is be great.

I don't disagree, but TIME has a good point. It's not about us, but I think there's definitely players (ex and current) that remember that stuff. Hell remember at the time people in the league thought what Russell did was worse than what Young did which I don't agree with... The league is full of macho dummies.

but i don't have to root for them. in other words, if the only FAs that will play with russell are those who think the "bro code" is sort of lame, i'm ok with this.

I don't disagree with that either although I'm also not going to discriminate just for that reason. If Klay Thompson said that Russell broke the bro code, I'd say he sure did, please sign this contract. I'm just saying keep in mind that Russell hasn't shaken that rep from guys in the league when you hear criticism (or praise) from guys in the league.
