Not going to happen. It's not Ding saying this. LOL our new gold standard. Click bait and fake news. Bah! Jackson's redundant and we need our new floor leader at summer league. Honestly not impressed with his highlights.

Obviously Okafor didn't have a great workout but I think even more than that Russell just had too much upside to pass up. Initially I wanted Okafor but after just a few tapes on Russell I wanted him on the team. Wasn't that I thought any less of Okafor. Russell is going to still turn out to be a great player. Watching all the top prospects I want Ball on the team. Even more important watching and listening to Magic, he wants Ball on the team. Ball is an exciting player that will do what all great players do, make teammates better. Ball also brings star power and fan recognition. He has charisma and is going to have a long great Laker career. This coming season is going to be a much better version of the young guns.

:Magic2: I agree, but for sure, if it happens, you'll be converted, and support whoever we draft, just like most of us here and gush about every Jackson dunk lol

No. There will be a lot of patience with him.

Oh there'll be plenty of fans (even on this site) that'll rip him early and often if he's not as advertised.

It's in our nature as fans to be critical. Patience and fandom don't really go hand in hand.

That's the thing though, I was left totally unimpressed squirrel watching his dunks. It was a 4+ minute clip so there must have been a lot of his better dunks. Had no sense of him jumping out of the gym or his arm slamming from extraordinary heights above the rim for a guy .... what....6'7"?

And I f****** hate the music on this clip.

Well watch this instead of one of those silly videos. It gives a much clearer shot at his upside.

True. But given his popularity I think Ball is going to have considerable leeway early on.

As a KU guy I watched a lot of our games this year. Jackson is a great prospect and I think he'll be a good pro. I just think there are better fits for us out there.

Lets say we did take Jackson, who would play the 4 IF we got PG?

Waits for KRL and his trading off all our young guys for other teams' players. Once he comes out of mourning.

There are some FA options - but I presume this is without Randle?

Isn't the tweet saying we're taking on to trade with pho? I don't think mgmt is looking that way mostly based in the shooting, we're already pretty avg at that dept. I think they'll overlook that aspect for fox due to his speed/d, harder to overlook shooting for a shooting guard

It's just funny that a guy like Lonzo Ball is available and Barns named this site LakerBall beforehand, that's some psychic s*** right there... Lavar is probably planning to shut us down if everything goes to plan lol

Its more along the line of thinking how can we play Ingram, Jackson, and PG all at once...consistently.

If the Lakers were really enamored with Jackson at #2, then there would certainly be a trade down for him.

But Jackson doesn't make sense to for us. His game is very similar to Ingram, except that BI has so much more potential with his size and length, and doesn't carry any off court baggage.

There's been A LOT of hype behind Fox recently, without any workouts with any teams. Not that I doubt that it's not warranted, he looks like a gamer, but it seems like to that it's been a lot of fluff from agents or people who don't like what Lavar/Lonzo have been doing to try to bring him down or get Fox up.
