    Yep. Always. Happens every draft.

Don't worry, though...we're getting the next Jason Kidd..

We'd then package #3 and Randle to the Knicks for Porzingis!

    Ball
    George
    Ingram
    Porzingis
    Moz/Zu/Black

I hope you're joking and if not I'm really glad you're not our GM. Russ and Randle is the sort of package that could likely get you Butler or George and you'd trade them for Porzingis? No way.

Porzingis is overrated to the point of hilarity.

To be fair, do we really know how good he is or isn't being in purgatory, err.. the Knicks franchise.

If we took Ball/Fox, signed George, Ingram emerges...doesn't it sound with solid center play Porzingis would fit in like a glove as a stretch four?
    Porzingis and Courtney Lee?

Really? Swear I didn't know lol. Well, I added Lee to please those that think Russell and Randle are too much which is probably true. But then I feel with Lee it isn't fair. Maybe throw in 28 and call I think a day.

You guys do know that porzingis is injury proned and folds under pressure. I watched a lot of his games, he's also a streaky player that fouls a lot. I rather keep what we have, than trade for him.

grass is greener. advanced stats like porzingis more, but they can't account for the fact that russell's playing a much tougher position to learn in the nba (zinger's at maybe the easiest transition spot-forward). zinger's also a bit older and more experienced.

but if you're going to project a dirk nowitzki type career for zinger, then you have to make similarly generous predictions for russell. not many 2nd year, 20 year old players produce like him.

Been doing some thinking. Suppose it's true that Lonzo is Kidd on offense and a minus defender, as he's sometimes been pegged. Not a horrendous defender, just a bit below average. Now suppose Fox is Schroeder with above average defense. Not lockdown, just better than average.

Which is the better player? Kidd's career numbers: 40-35-79 shooting, 13-9-6. Schroeder at 23 is at 43-33-82 and 11-4-2. He doesn't have the raw numbers yet, but his career shooting is already at least as good.

    Kidd's peak numbers: 42-36-85 shooting, 17-11-7. Schroeder peak numbers through 23: 45-35-86 and 18-6-3.

Two things to bear in mind: forget Kidd's defense. No one thinks Lonzo has that and forget that Schroeder is about the worst defender at PG statistically. Second, remember that Schroeder is only going on 24.

#2 for Klay or #2 + JC for Klay

    Who says no?

Watching last night's game, I couldn't help but think about Lonzo pushing the fast break like the Warriors were doing all night.

Russell is good but Nick Young has contaminated him and JC to the point where they need a new environment. LA lifestyle and nightlife will keep them from realizing their full potential.
