Wade going to Chicago effed up them doing a full rebuild and trading Butler I feel like. I'm trying to come up with scenarios but I feel with Rondo and Wade they can't make the trade this year.

As much I have talked about the need for the team to do due diligence on the pick, I find this very hard to believe. I think Lonzo will have to completely mail it in to not get picked.

Definitely a smokescreen in my opinion.

i'm not a "draft for need" guy. and if i were, pg's not a need.

if the lakers think jackson projects as a sg/sf whose long-range shooting is fixable, he's worthy of the #2 pick, for sure.

I want a guy with some polished skills if we're taking a wing player. Maybe Jackson has a lot, but I just watched my first footage of him in a long highlight clip and 80% was dunking the ball. Big whup. Maybe later toward the end of that particular clip that I didn't stay around for, or perhaps in some other clips (?) I might be wowed with his handles, footwork, shooting skills, any really refined damn skills?

Unfair from admittedly short 4 minutes looking at him? Throw some other clips out here that show off refined skills? I got too spoiled by how Kobe Bryant prepared himself skills wise to play the game. I know at least Ball is a passing, pace and leadership savant with decent handles and decent accuracy with his shooting.

Can we agree that only Lonzo, compared to the other prospects, have an elite ability. I don't see Fultz, Jackson or Fox translating their game immediately to the NBA. Lonzo, on the other hand, have the passing skills comparable to NBA Legends unless it's overrated again like DAR Sports Science:giggle:

Well Fultz can shoot decently and seems to have decent handles and forward moving moves in addition to being able to dunk the effing ball. Fox has decent handles, blazing speed and decent forward moving moves in addition to dunking, but look at his comparative shooting chart with all the effing red zones lit up.

no. jackson is an elite defender. fultz is an elite scorer. if anything, ball's elite skill is the one that depends most heavily on circumstance (i.e., others have to be skilled and doing the right things).

and again, i find it funny that folks s*** on the sports science russell stuff, then just readily accept ball's court vision and hoop iq. i don't understand this.

Well if Lonzo comes out and starts making stupid turnovers with lazy or too fancy passes pretty much most games for last two years, as has DAR except finally nice run with TOs down quite well last part of the season ..... then yeah you have to assume the sports science, Kidd / Magic passing and court vision stuff on Ball was way overrated too.

So abeer, you think Jackson can be an All Defense immediately? Fultz a top 5 scorer? Or Lonzo can be the playmaker, elite passer he is showing in the highlights.

Well DAR's passing was compared to Magic before he played a game in the NBA, then when DAR got there, it turns out it was not.His nonchalance and laissez faire attitude seeped into his passing which were lazy and erratic.

I'm not sold Russell was much worse about turnovers than any other young point guard. And we saw good to great passes from him.

Maybe Magic wants to see how he performs under pressure. I can't think of any other reason for this leak.

How are you measuring "young," "more," and "PG"? Schroder averaged 3.3 per game, 8th highest in the NBA. He's 23. Devin Booker, 20, averaged 3.1 (and he's some people's hero). John Wall, 26, averaged 4.1. Giannis, 22, averaged 2.9.

If we're talking total TOs, Elfird Payton, Andrew Wiggins, Rubio, Jrue, Booker, Schroder all had more.

If it's per 100 possessions, Russ is at 4.7, 24th highest. But Schroder, Payton, Baldwin, Wall were all higher.

I'd say this backs up what I thought. That Russell is on par with many of the point guards or guards in his age range as far as turnovers go.
