^No argument from me; although, I think Cleveland passes, and that's fine. Their in win now mode with Lebron; however, I just don't see them throwing in a 1st with Waiters. They'd throw in a second rounder, though, IMO. We'll see. A lot can change a teams perspective when the losses start piling up...their anemic interior is going to get exposed; couple that with Lebron the de-facto GM lobbying for a center in the worst way, and you never know...

I'm more interested in that pick they have (Clev) than Waiters...if you have two 1st round picks, plus using Nash and/or Lin's expiring, you could do get something back; also, we have Houston's 2nd rounder (highly protected) and our own 2nd rounder. Either way, and in a completely hypothetical scenario, I'd target Hibbert in a heartbeat. 2 more years on his contract, fills a huge need, can anchor a defense, and Indiana is not going anywhere this season; I think they'll listen if there's picks and an expiring involved.

"Joey Dorsey, Tarik Black, Isaac Canaan, Nick Johnson, Clint Capela ... Rockets seeking taker on any of the above to make room for Josh Smith"

I say we JUMP on Nick Johnson. This guy is a beast, can play either guard positions. Could easily blossom into the PG of our future if Lin doesn't work out. We could probably get him for like Ellington or something.

Al Jefferson is going to miss a good bit of time, so Bismack Biyombo is getting the playing time.

He had 9, 7, and 3 blocks last night. It's good for him, but it's bad for our prospects of picking him up on the cheap - because he'll likely show his talent.

How the heck does nobody want Hill yet? If youre a team that needs a big man, Hill could be your guy to make that push in the playoffs. Hope Mitch is playing the waiting game hoping that somebody gets desperate.

Yeah he's really got a nice game. Gonna miss Hill when he's gone. Really like his skillset and how he's worked on his game.

He's actually even added a real jumper to his game. No really.... I saw him off the ground tonight with one that went in from near top of the key. [IMG]

to my knowledge, HIll can't be traded till the 15th anyway right?

i think he will be dealt. doing so should just about guarantee our top 5 pick being in place. as much as i like ed davis, having to run him for 35 minutes a game might to tough on him.

as far as the offseason, i don't think we need to hit a home run on gasol, or aldridge, etc. what we need are assets.

i'd like to grab asik, cory joseph, and maybe a 3 who is a reasonable 3 point threat. maybe that guy is wes johnson, who knows.

as much as i'd like to get reggie jackson, i think we need to spend our money on rim protection first. it solves alot of issues both on defense and can really help our transition offense.

not huge on giving dragic $14M and given that we're one of few teams to need a PG these days, i think his market value could be a bit lower.

    Waiters? Hmm.
    Jennings and Monroe. Interesting.

Anyone like Aaron Gordon? I think he's in an awkward position, the Magic seem to have already gotten their core of young stars in Vucevic-Payton-Oladipo and I don't think they're really in a position now to develop even more young talent. He's from SoCal so I'm sure he would love to be a Laker. I would love him next to Julius.

Hill is (rightfully) seen as a bad defensive player around the league

Detroit playing well isn't helping our cause. Hopefully they come back to earth by the deadline. Jennings & Monroe for Hill & Nash's expiring is interesting if they decide to tank & cut salary. I can't say I'm a fan of either player but it might just be crazy enough to work.

At one point I thought he might have been a better draft option than Randle... But then he played a bit in the NBA.

I'm firmly of the opinion that none cares about an expiring contract anymore.
