I'm really intrigued with DJ Wilson. I think some team will fall in love with his size and all around skills. He's not great but he is good in multiple areas.

Would love to see him in Luke's uptempo offense.

Weird analysis but I think Hayes is too nice to be Draymond. :D

But on a realer note Hayes isn't as fleet of foot as Draymond nor as fluid. I really liked Nigel a couple years ago, but now I'm not sold. He seems more like a small PF now who can't shoot consistently.

Over my dead body! Don't want KRL trying to trade him immediately after the draft.

soo...like former second round pick draymond green? the scouting report was literally that his feet weren't quick enough to play on the perimeter and that he was too small to play around the basket and that he didn't shoot well enough to develop an nba three.

I'm not saying the physical comparison isn't accurate, I'm saying it's the mental one. Part of the whole Draymond package is that his unique, chip-on-the-shoulder attitude makes up for some of his physical limitations.

Hayes also isn't as good a shooter, he's not even in the same stratosphere as a passer, and I think his last couple years at Wisconsin really hammered home his inability to rally teammates. A couple years ago this kid was one of my favorite wing prospects. I thought he had a legitimate shot to be a 3 & D guy with some small-ball four because of his strength, but he never really got there.

I still like him as a person though and if we bought back into the 2nd round at some point, I'd be okay taking a flier on him, but with the 28 I'd rather go somewhere else.

Yeah, I thought Hayes was decent with the Kaminsky team, but he dropped off. I thought he'd improve staying another year, but he actually digressed.

again, these were the conversations about green coming out. not saying hayes is green, but similar physical profile, fairly similar skillset (imo). he may not be the "dog" green is, though.

anyway, the real point is that late first, early second is where you can take some risks and really be open/creative about draft picks.

    i'm actually interested in swanigan.

So we're saying the same things?... :D

I think Draymond is a little more nimble though and Hayes is a little more strong and stout.

I'd rather take a shot on one of the bigs that slides. Adebayo or anigbogu or maybe even Jeanne.

Beachum and Bryant are guys I've seen connected with a lot of teams early in the 2nd or late in the 1st. For us personally I'm not sure Bryant does anything we don't already have, but Beachum has serious 3 & D potential. If he blows us away in the workout, he could be worth a look late in the 1st.

if adebayo or the frenchman are there, i'd definitely be interested, though that's not how the lakers have operated of late. i expect a surprise (is it possible to expect a surprise?).

oh, and since anthony brown, 3 and d draft choices scare the hell out of me. most three and d nba guys were NOT 3 and d guys in college. bruce bowen was a scorer, for pete's sake! tony allen was a college lebron type. though i suppose he's all d and no 3.

    *pause*

The best outcome I can see for the 28th pick is using it on Trayding Tewdump MozDeng. He's relatively unknown, but I think he could be a fantastic gamble for us at that spot if it's a possibility.

I see a little poor man's Blake Griffin in his game. Drafting him may ease the pain if we have to package a Randle deal down the road. Be surprised to see him fall to #28 with his skillset.

Who wants to dream that Hamidou Diallo may be the next Kobe?
